June is a HUGE month for theme park fans. We’ve got good news (like a new EPCOT bar) and bad news (sorry, Muppets fans). In fact, there are some MAJOR closures happening soon in Disney World, so let’s talk about all the changes coming to Disney World this June!

Somehow, June is right around the corner, and that means a bunch of new Disney World CHANGES are on the horizon. If you’re planning a trip to Disney World this June, here are all the biggest changes and events happening throughout the month!
GEO-82 – Opening
Your Drinking Around the World adventure in EPCOT is about to get BETTER! Disney announced that a NEW adults-only (21+) bar is opening on June 4th. The new bar, called GEO-82, is located inside Spaceship Earth.

GEO-82 will serve small plates and unique beverages, and Disney even confirmed that GEO-82 souvenir glasses will be available for purchase. We cannot WAIT to go inside! We hear that there will be some EPIC fireworks views from the lounge!

MuppetVision and PizzeRizzo Closing
We’re sorry to say it, but the time has come to say goodbye to a classic Muppets attraction in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Both Muppet*Vision 3D and PizzeRizzo, along with the rest of the former Muppet Courtyard area, will have their final day of operation on June 7th, and close forever on June 8th.

While we know fans are pretty upset about the loss of Muppet*Vision 3D, the closure of the attraction and PizzeRizzo does not signify the end of the Muppets altogether at Hollywood Studios. Disney announced that the Muppets will be moving to take over the Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster.

You Only Have a Few Weeks To Visit These Two Places in Disney’s Hollywood Studios Before They Close FOREVER

A Disney World Hotel Restaurant Closes
There are just a few weeks left to get a good steak dinner at Shula’s Steak House! If you’re unfamiliar, Shula’s is a table service restaurant at the Dolphin Hotel. It’s owned by the former Miami Dolphins football Coach, Don Shula, but this restaurant will be permanently closing!

Shula’s Steakhouse will be taking reservations through June 14th, 2025. After that, the restaurant will close to make way for Bourbon Steak by Michael Mina. Mina is an American celebrity chef, restaurateur, and cookbook author, and owns the Mina Group, which manages 40 restaurants around the country.
