Do you go to Disney World with a stack of dining reservations and an itinerary dedicated to eating? Do you read restaurant menus more carefully than the terms and conditions on your iPhone? Well, fellow food lovers, we’ve got some dining news you need to know about!

There are all kinds of major changes happening at The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort. A new game room and restaurant (with a bowling alley!) just opened. A new restaurant from celebrity chef Michael Mina is coming soon, and the popular Food and Wine Classic is returning later this year. But we’ve got even MORE food news to share: The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort just announced a new executive chef.
Chef Devin Queen has been promoted to executive chef at The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort! Queen has an impressive resume — he joined the Swan and Dolphin as a sous chef at Shula’s Steak House, and was then promoted to the restaurant chef position. Queen also worked as the opening restaurant chef for the Il Mulino restaurant and was then appointed as the Swan and Dolphin’s banquet chef.

Queen started his career at age 12 as a dishwasher. He trained at the Culinary Institute of America in New York and worked his way up to an executive chef position. Queen stated, “This is an enormous role where you want to succeed,” adding, “My goal is to succeed while staying grounded at the same time.”

This news comes shortly after a big announcement about the future of Shula’s Steak House at the Swan and Dolphin Resort. We learned that a brand new fine-dining experience is on its way to Walt Disney World called Bourbon Steak by celebrity chef Michael Mina, and it will replace Shula’s Steak House.

We will continue to keep our eyes out for more changes at the Swan and Dolphin, so keep your eyes out for more. Oh, and if you’re looking for a great place to eat, we highly recommend Todd English’s bluezoo at the Swan and Dolphin. The food is AMAZING!
In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more.
