REVIEW: We Visited a Disney World Donut Shop…for Chicken? Here's How It Went!

Disney World offers a variety of lunch options, but sometimes all you really want is a tasty chicken tender.

Sure, you can visit Disney Springs‘ Chicken Guy!, which is owned by celebrity chef Guy Fieri, and certainly has some tasty chicken. But we just discovered that Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew has chicken tenders, so we HAD to check them out — and we were surprised.

So, yes, we made our way to Disney Springs to visit Everglazed. Now, this is a donut shop, but we’ve had some savory items here before and were pleasantly surprised. Well, now, Chicken Tenders are on the menu, so we had to try them out.

We started with the Hot Honey Chicken Combo for $18, which comes with 3 jumbo tenders tossed in hot honey garlic sauce, fries, and a mini-glazed donut. We’re just going to tell you now that these are some of the best chicken tenders we’ve had in Disney World. They have a wonderful crunchy coating and the chicken inside is nice and juicy. The fries are classic crinkle cut with a light seasoning.

We also grabbed the Chicken & Donut for $9, which comes with one jumbo tender and a regular-sized donut plus dipping sauce. The donuts are like classic glazed donuts — think of a Krispy Creme donut and that’s what these remind us of.

They’re fluffy and sweet, and we made a sandwich by combining the combo and this plate (you only get one with the Chicken & Donut, so it wouldn’t work as well as a sandwich). Together, though, you get a nice sweet and savory snack.

For sauces, we got the honey mustard and Korean BBQ. Both are delicious, although we’d say the honey mustard is pretty standard. But the Korean BBQ was nice with a hint of spice and tanginess, as well as some smokiness.

Overall, we did not expect to find great chicken tenders at a donut shop, but we were wrong. If you’re looking for a quick lunch in Disney Springs, this could be just what you were looking for.
