In July 2024, Disney World changed the game by replacing Genie+ with a new skip-the-line service — Lightning Lane Multi Pass.
The biggest difference is that this system allows you to book Lightning Lanes in advance, a feature fans were begging Disney to bring back. Disney World hotel guests can book seven days in advance while everyone else can book three days ahead of time. Now, if you’re considering buying any of the Lightning Lane options in December 2024, here is a full breakdown of the prices!
First of all, here’s a list of your options and what they mean.
- Lightning Lane Multi Pass: This is similar to Genie+ in that several attractions in each park are included in the service. You can select three Lightning Lanes ahead of time in the park you bought it for, and then you can book Lightning Lanes in any of the four theme parks after that.
- Lightning Lane Single Pass: Previously called Individual Lightning Lanes, this is available at the most popular Disney World rides. This includes Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and TRON Lightcycle / Run in Magic Kingdom, Avatar Flight of Passage in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Rise of the Resistance at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT. By purchasing Single Pass, you can skip the line one time at the ride you paid for.
- Lightning Lane Premier Pass: Disney’s newest skip-the-line option and also its most expensive ever. You have access to ANY Lightning Lane in the park you purchased this service for, including Single Pass attractions. No need to book a specific Lightning Lane window — just show up and scan your pass.
