NEWS: DinoLand Prizes DISAPPEAR in Disney World, Replaced With Old Souvenirs

DinoLand U.S.A. is getting ready to see some major changes in 2025.

Fossil Fun Games

We now know that parts of the land will be closing in January 2025 to begin the process of turning this area into Pueblo Esperanza. Fossil Fun Games will be one of the first closures to happen, which means time is running out to grab those adorable carnival-style prizes, and it seems that Disney is already replacing some of its sold-out prizes with new (well, actually, old) prizes.

During a recent visit to DinoLand, we noticed that some of the Fossil Fun Games prizes looked different. In fact, Disney has now brought back some of the old prizes (pre-2020) to use as small prizes for some games.

They’re back!

At a few of the games, we noticed that the Mickey and Minnie Plushes with shirts specifically branded with “The Dino Institute” are no longer available, along with some of the dinosaur prizes. We heard mixed answers from Cast Members about these plushes. One said they’re expecting one more shipment of Disney-branded prizes, while another said what is currently available is all that’s left.

A few prizes have already disappeared

These new (but again, technically old) prizes are much smaller than the current prizes and are not specific to DinoLand like the others, making them a little less popular so far. However, just like the others, they aren’t available anywhere else, so you still can say it’s a souvenir unique to DinoLand!

Some games are running out

Be sure to head over to DinoLand ASAP to play these games before all the prizes are gone and the area officially closes in just a few months!
