Price increases hit Disney World pretty hard recently, and we’re here to report on all of them for you.

Coronado Springs

Price increases impacted park tickets, restaurants, and hotel stays, but days later, we’re continuing to see increases impact additional items. And we’re sad to say that we just noticed another price increase hit Disney World hotels — resort refillable mugs will now cost you MORE.

We stopped by Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort to try some of the hotel’s new menu items and noticed something different. The sign advertising Disney’s Resort Refillable Mugs shows that the price has increased to $22.99.

Refillable Mug Price Increase

These mugs were previously $21.99 at all Disney World Resorts, and they provide free refills at the soda machines located throughout the resort. It’s a great purchase for families who know they’ll use them often at their hotels, but it’s important to note that these free refills are NOT available in the Disney World parks.

These mugs are good to use for the duration of your stay, whether it’s three days or a week. They can be used for free refills of soda, coffee, and tea at your resort, but once your stay is over, they’re deactivated and cannot be used again for free refills.

These are a great purchase for families or those who frequently drink soda, coffee, and tea because you can fill them up at your resort before leaving for the parks and again when you return. Plus, while you’re in the parks, you can ask for free water cups at quick-service restaurants and fill up your mug with water.

They’re not a necessity for all guests, but it’s important to note the new price for those of you who may be budgeting for your upcoming trip.

  1. There’s a surprise disney raises prices again. Pretty soon the only people who will be able to go are the wealthy. Just another way to nickel and dime you out of every cent. We used to go every few years but haven’t been back in about 8 years and have no urge to.

  2. I remember when they had these way ba k and you couldn’t use in the parks. Just your resort. Now I see people carrying around in parks. And they weren’t as expensive.

  3. The mugs are good after your stay, the cup is activated for 14 days, and you can use it when you are no longer a resort guest. We do split stays with half our trip at an off-site resort and have used the mug when we eat at a Disney resort.

  4. My first stay at Disney was at the Dixie Landing Resort. The mug cost was $4.99. At the time of purchase I was told the mug use was good during that stay and all future stays at that resort. Over the years of stay at that resort I always brought that mug and used it. There was never an issue
from castmembers about my using it for soda pop refills. On my 3rd or 4th year visit they replaced it for me for free when I broke my mug.

  5. One major problem is that Florida water tastes terrible. We come down from Toronto which has one of the best water filtration plants in the world and we get sick on Florida water.

  6. We aren’t big refillable mug fans because we don’t drink lots of soda but really even after the increase it’s not a bad deal for a week. If you have 1 or 2 soda’s a day you can easily find value.
