Disney World’s NEWEST Restaurant Is One Step Closer to Opening!

We have been waiting for quite a while for Disney World’s newest restaurant to open. The Cake Bake Shop was first announced in March 2022 and was expected to open in 2023.

Now, we are almost a year out from the original anticipated opening date, and all the signs are there that this Disney World restaurant may be opening soon!

The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers is coming to Disney’s BoardWalk. This restaurant features a menu with both savory treats and desserts, as well as an afternoon tea service. The restaurant has a “a whimsical atmosphere that complements the magic of the idyllic charm of Disney’s BoardWalk.”

The original shop is located in Indiana and is known for its cakes, pies, and assorted desserts, as well as its seasonal window displays and excellent theming.

We have been keeping a close eye on the construction progress at The Cake Bake Shop, and we noticed another huge milestone.  All of the shrubs were removed from the front of the restaurant, and we spotted some seating added outside.

There are only a few tables right now, but it is possible we could see more added soon. It is definitely an exciting step towards the restaurant being open! It was great getting to see the whole restaurant without any shrubs.

As well, The Cake Bake Shop was hosting a private event when we stopped by. That likely means we are getting very close to an official opening!

On October 5th, we were able to get a first look at the menu and admire a lighting effect on the sign. Fans were shocked by some of the prices on the menu including a $18 Peanut Butter and Raspberry Jam Sandwich and cakes ranging from $22-$26.

While the prices are a bit steep, we are looking forward to seeing if the food is worth it. Stay tuned to AllEars for all the latest new about The Cake Bake Shop and Disney World!
