I Just Discovered This New Phone Hack and My Disney World Trips Will Never Be the Same

Using your phone is almost entirely necessary in Disney World these days.

While there are some ways to get around the digital craze, it’s generally much easier to plan your Disney World trip if you’re comfortable using your phone, and especially, the My Disney Experience app. And now, there’s a new hack to pin the app to the lock screen on your iPhone!

This new hack works with iPhones that have been updated to iOS 18, so you’ll need to make sure your phone is updated first. To start this process, you’ll go to your lock screen and press and hold. This should take you out of full-screen mode and make the “Customize” button pop up at the bottom.

Start by holding down on the home screen

Once you select “Customize,” you’ll want to click on the plus sign at the bottom of the screen. This is usually where the flashlight icon goes, but you can change it to other apps!

From there, you’ll be directed to a list of options to add to the screen, and you can even add an app. To do so, click “Open App” as your control.

From there, you’ll be able to search for the app you want. And if you’ve already got My Disney Experience downloaded, you can add it! This also works with the Disneyland Resort app.

Once you go through the process, the Disney app will show up on your lock screen at the bottom. Now you simply have to push that button and you’re taken to My Disney Experience!

This could be a very helpful short-term replacement for a week of vacation. When we visit the parks for vacation, we’re probably opening that app at least a dozen times a day!
