Refurbishments are a part of life at Disney World.
Rides will get closed down for temporary refurbishments all the time. Disney ensures the safety and proper working on its rides by doing lengthy maintenance on the attractions. However, it’s not just rides that get closed for refurbishment. Recently, we’ve seen two Disney World hotel food courts partially closed for maintenance purposes, and now another hotel restaurant will be temporarily closing this month.
Over at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter, you’ll find Scat Cat’s Club –Café. This is home to the famous beignets that you can grab at this hotel, and boy are they delicious. The café is located just outside of Scat Cat’s Club — Lounge, the New Orleans-style bar with jazz music, signature drinks, and appetizers.
You can typically find a fun selection of jazzed up beignets, coffee, and other beverages at this quick service café outside the lounge. However, suppose you’re planning on grabbing a New Orleans-style beignet and coffee from September 23rd to mid-October. In that case, you’ll have to venture to Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory because Scat Cat’s Club — Café will be undergoing refurbishment.
Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory is also located at Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter, right next to Scat Cat’s Club, so you won’t have to go far to grab those Mickey-shaped beignets! Typically, you’ll find Cajun and Creole fare along with typical American options at Sassagoula Floatworks, but while Scat Cat’s Club — Café is undergoing its refurbishment, you’ll be able to taste those yummy beignets here, too.
Luckily, this refurbishment doesn’t seemed to be planned to take place for very long! We’ll be back to enjoy all that Scat Cat’s Club — Café has to offer in no time. In the meantime, checkout Sassagoula Floatworks for the world famous beignets or Scat Cat’s Club — Lounge for great New Orleans entertainment and small bites.
