Um, is it just us, or is 2024 FLYING by? One moment, we’re in March; the next, we’re seeing Halloween decorations in Magic Kingdom?!
New EPCOT festivals, Halloween parties, and exclusive concerts? It’s all coming SOON. That’s right — there are several things to look forward to in the Disney parks, so get ready! If you’re planning a trip to Disney World this September, here are all the biggest CHANGES and events happening throughout the month!
Exclusive Eat to the Beat Concerts Happening in September
The EPCOT Food and Wine Festival officially kicks off on August 29th and runs through November 23rd. During the event, EPCOT will also host the Eat to the Beat Concert Series!
These take place in the American Adventure pavilion, and you can catch a fun show for FREE during the festival. There are even some dining packages that guarantee you a reserved seat.

- September 6th-7th: Hoobastank
- September 8th-9th: Yellowcard — NEW

Some notable bands and artists will be visiting EPCOT, like Sugar Ray, Hoobastank, and Yellowcard!

Bay Lake Tower Construction Begins
A MAJOR Disney World hotel refurbishment is starting in September! Disney announced that from September 2024 to September 2025, room refurbishment work will take place in Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
During this time, Disney warns that you will likely see and hear construction work throughout Bay Lake Tower. Additioanlly, you may need to allow extra time for travel as certain paths may be closed.

Takumi Tei No Longer Accepting Discounts
EPCOT’s Takumi-Tei restaurant is a gorgeous signature dining experience. The only hangup for a lot of people? The price. It costs $250 per-person to dine here!
For a while, Takumi-Tei offered an exclusive Annual Passholder and Disney Vacation Club Member discount! But starting on September 1st, this perk will no longer be available. The restaurant also does not participate in the Disney Dining Plan, so keep that in mind before booking a reservation.
Disney Dreams That Soar ENDS
“Disney Dreams That Soar” is a POPULAR new drone show that is ncurrently running daily at Disney Springs. It officially debuted on May 24th and features over 800 drones.
Throughout the 9-minute show, you will recognize characters from popular Disney movies like Big Hero 6, Star Wars, Peter Pan, and so many more!
Well, we have some bad news. Dreams That Soar is scheduled to end on September 2nd. Disney hasn’t shared any news about a new drone show, but we’ll keep our eyes out for updates!

Happily Ever After Showtimes Change
Speaking of nighttime entertainment, we have antoher important change to tell you about.
Starting on September 9th, 2024, Happily Ever After will begin at 8:30PM nightly. It currently runs at 9PM each night, so keep this in mind if you’re visitng Magic Kingdom in September.
