If You Didn’t Eat These 11 Things, Did You Even Go to Boma at Disney World?!

Buffet meals are common all over Disney World, but there are a few that really stand out above the others.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge

Boma over at Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of them! Open for breakfast and dinner, this buffet is very highly reviewed, and we’ve experienced both meals ourselves and really enjoyed it. However, we definitely have our favorite items, so if you’re eating at Boma soon, you NEED to make sure you grab these!

Breakfast

There are tons of exciting and delicious options at Boma breakfast, which has reservations beginning as early as 7:30AM until 11:30AM.

Boma

One of our ultimate favorites is the Turkey Bobotie! This is an African dish made with spiced ground meat and topped with an egg-based topping. While we love how jam-packed with flavor it is thanks to those spices, it’s not really spicy.

And don’t even get us STARTED on the Sticky Buns — these things are like what we imagine heaven tastes like for people who enjoy sweet breakfasts. These do change a bit every now and then, but we love the crunch of the pecans on top mixed with the delicious caramel — we’re dreaming about them now UGH.

Another one for the savory fans, the Carved Ham may seem simple, but it’s anything but. The ham itself is delicious, but if you want an extra kick, grab the spicy mustard to go with it — you won’t be disappointed!

Forget regular oatmeal, Coconut Oatmeal is where it’s at! The chefs have recommended it to us on more than one occasion and we see why! The creamy texture is amazing, but the delicious coconut flavor is enough to convert even an oatmeal hater!

Bread pudding is a big favorite of ours too, but especially the Cinnamon-Raisin Bread Pudding here! This one also does change, you may see it as French Toast Bread Pudding, but both are INCREDIBLE and are must-haves for those who love sweet breakfast items.

SO. GOOD.

The last one is a classic but still good — Simba Waffles! This is the only place you can grab them in Disney World, so take in the uniqueness while you can!

Golden deliciousness

And we can’t forget about dinner!

Dinner

As for Dinner, one of our ultimate favorites is the African Spiced Beef Striploin! A Cast Member is present to cut it fresh for you, and we love how delicious and high-quality it is without having to spend an arm and a leg.

If you’re more a chicken person, the Durban Chicken is also incredible. The chicken itself is so moist and tender, while the spices are just enough to add more flavor without being overwhelming.

Something you may be hesitant to try due to the name is the Sweet Corn Pudding, but we’re here to tell you that you NEED to give it a try! The texture is especially pleasing, so branch out of your comfort zone and check it out.

The Peanut Rice is also one you can’t miss! You may think it’s not worth it since it’s just rice, but it’s one of our ultimate favorites! It almost reminds us of Pad Thai in a way — the sweet and savory flavors are perfectly balanced, and you very well may go back for seconds.

And lastly, we can’t forget the Zebra Domes! These are an iconic treat for good reason — they remind us of tiramisu in texture but with a hint of liquer flavor. They’re a must-have, really — give them a try!
