Anyone whose ever sailed on a Disney cruise would likely agree that one of the highlights of the experience is a day at Disney’s private island Castaway Cay, complete with its adult-only beaches. Now Disney has a brand new island destination: Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, and we got to preview its new adult-only areas!
The adult-only offerings on Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point include the Serenity Bay beach and its cabanas, as well as an adults-only dining area and a bar.
Let’s go to Serenity Bay!
Once you make it down the pathway to Serenity Bay, the first thing you come to are the cabanas! These are a bit more public than the Serenity Bay cabanas at Disney’s other island destination, Castaway Cay.
Serenity Bay Cabanas
The walking path passes right in front of the cabanas, so keep in mind that if you rent one of these, you’ll have people near your cabana throughout the day.
More cabanas
Past the cabanas, you come to the adults-only dining! Serenity Bay BBQ serves a buffet of island eats where you can dine with a little peace and quiet.
Serenity Bay BBQ
There’s a decent amount of covered seating at this spot, so you can relax and enjoy your meal in the shade. We’ll warn you that if you’re here with an adults-heavy sailing, you may have trouble finding a table.
Serenity Bay BBQ
The menu at Serenity Bay BBQ was pretty similar to that of True-True BBQ and True-True Too BBQ in the family areas. They may offer a wider selection of some items, but most of the appeal of dining here is that it’s a bit less crowded.
There’s plenty of seating
And of course, there’s an adults-only bar area as well! The Blue Hole Bar is the watering hole in the Serenity Bay area, serving a selection of island-themed drinks, as well as wines and beers.
Blue Hole Bar
Ultimately, Serenity Bay is not a massive section of the island, but it still offers the basics — cabanas, dining, a bar, and a private beach. It’s not quite as secluded as it is on Castaway Cay, so keep that in mind when venturing here.
