We Have a HOT TAKE on Magic Kingdom's Newest Attraction

The latest attraction to come to Magic Kingdom, Smellephants on Parade, is an interactive game where players go around sniffing elephant statues in Storybook Circus. We know, we know — it sounds riveting. But here’s why it’s actually much more exciting than you think!

Smellephants on Parade is the latest attraction to join Storybook Circus at Magic Kingdom, and Disney has described it as “a family-friendly ‘search and sniff adventure’ presented by Scentsy.”

To play, you’ll pick up a map from the ticket booth in front of Big Top Souvenirs. The map has a set of stickers representing the smells you’ll be sniffing for: cotton candy, popcorn, pink lemonade, snow cone, churro, bubblegum, caramel apple, and corn dog.

It’s a fun little scavenger hunt, but it’s nothing to write home about — at least for Disney Adults. But, from our experience, it’s great for kiddos! The search-and-sniff element is something new and stimulating for the senses and letting them take the lead on the search can inspire confidence and problem-solving skills, too.

Plus, there’s the added benefit that it’s a nice break and change of pace from the chaos that can be the rest of Magic Kingdom. You can take a load off while watching your kiddo make their way from elephant to elephant and discover a new favorite.
