I Had Dinner With a Celebrity Chef in Disney World — Here’s How It Went

There are quite a few restaurants in Disney World owned by celebrity and Michelin-starred chefs.

Eet by Maneet Chauhan

From Guy Fieri’s Chicken Guy to Rick Bayless’s Frontera Cocina to Jaleo by Jose Andres, you have plenty of restaurants to choose from if you want dishes made by famous chefs. But one new addition to the list is EET by Maneet Chauhan, and they recently added a NEW offering!

There’s a new event at EET called Meet, Greet, and EET with Maneet Chauhan, where you can purchase tickets to eat a meal cooked by Maneet and chat with her throughout dinner. These events are taking place on select nights through July, and we were invited out to the first one!

Checking in

This five-course feast is prepared by Maneet, and throughout the meal, she stands up to share details on the various dishes included. The menu may vary slightly between the different events, but a ticket to attend this meal costs $250.

The menu

The first course consists of several appetizer-like items, including the garbanzo puff Pani Puri that’s on the regular menu…

…the EET signature bread service that we tried when the restaurant first opened…

…some surprisingly spicy Stuffed Crispy Potato Croquettes…

…and a puffed rice dish with mango and mint chutneys. Each of these offerings were absolutely delicious, and they’re all served family-style in front of the table.

Moving on to the second course, the servers brought out some Coconut Crab Cakes. These were SO good — very fresh with a little bit of crispiness on the outside and chewiness in the middle. They’re served with a mango slaw that really brightened the dish up a bit.

Perhaps the best thing we ate was the third course, where we got individual plates of short rib and grits. This was an amazing mix of textures (chewy, soft, crunchy) and flavors (savory, cheesy, rich) that all worked incredibly well together. We would love to have this again and again!

As a palette cleanser, the fourth course was a lime sorbet. It was smooth and creamy, and the perfect way to ease into dessert.

Rounding out our meal with the fifth course was the Mango Lassi Parfait, which is made with mango yogurt and served with crispy pearls for a little crunch.

The meal comes with alcohol pairings throughout, but they also have non-alcoholic beverage options like this sparkling water.

Ultimately, we had an absolute blast at this event! It was lovely to meet Maneet and hear her stories about Tournament of Champions, cooking, and growing up in India. She came around to every person in the room and took time to chat, sign autographs, and take photos.

It’s a pretty pricey event ($250 is one of the more expensive meals you can get in Disney World!), but it might be worth it if you’re a big Maneet Chauhan fan or you just want a really unique dining experience. Tickets are still available for a few dates and can be purchased on the EET website.
