Why You’ll Want To Be in Magic Kingdom on February 6th

We here at AllEars stay “one jump ahead” of all Disney news! With so much happening at the Walt Disney World Resort recently, from new menu items to Disney’s Festival of the Arts, we are dedicated to keeping you all informed.

We’ve got even more exciting news coming to Magic Kingdom next month!

According to the Orlando Sentinel, Michael James Scott, the Orlando native who portrayed Genie in Aladdin on Broadway, will serve as the honorary grand marshal for the Festival of Fantasy parade in Magic Kingdom on February 6th!

Michael James Scott’s grand marshal status is a part of the resort’s Black History Month celebration kickoff, which they have named “Celebrate Soulfully”.

Scott is also scheduled to appear in the Broadway Concert Series at EPCOT’s Festival of The Arts on February 9, 11, 12, 15, 18, and 19 alongside Mandy Gonzalez.

Disney’s “Celebrate Soulfully” celebrations will also feature new menu items, Disney Springs ArtWalk murals, a new African art installation at Pizzafari, character interactions, and more!
