Have you always wanted to dine at California Grill but just couldn’t justify spending so much money on a prix fixe meal? We have, too, but lucky for you, we’ve got a plan!
We’ve seen some SERIOUSLY EXPENSIVE things around Disney World like literal homes you can buy to live “in” Disney World, single merchandise items that cost HUNDREDS of dollars, and hotel rooms overlooking Disney World that can cost you THOUSANDS per night to stay in. But this is one tip you’ll just have to trust us on before you can get out and try it for yourself!
Disney World has some swanky restaurants and typically, those meals can come with a hefty price tag. But is there a compromise for you if you REALLY want to dine at one of these restaurants without paying the big bucks? We think we’ve got a hack for that!
California Grill sits atop Disney’s Contemporary Resort and while they’re known for an incredible signature dining meal, their superior ambiance and spectacular views more than account for the reason people continuously spend some serious cash to dine here.
However, if you’ve ever wanted to experience this restaurant (maybe even on more of a trial basis), unsure of whether it’s worth forking over the cost OR Disney Dining Plan credits before you commit to a full meal, we may have found a way to make this happen!
The next time you find yourself fixated on visiting California Grill, consider choosing to sit (or ask about availability) at the restaurant’s bar. Here, you’ll be able to order a drink and order from the SAME menu…however, with a slight catch.
The only snag in this plan is that you’ll only be able to order one appetizer or entree at a time. Even with it being a trade-off, it seems like it’s a small(er) price to pay than committing to a full (and a lot more pricy) prix fixe meal for the evening.
Who knows, if you play your cards (or time, rather) right, you may even be able to catch the spectacular views of the Happily Ever After fireworks from way up there!
