During your trip to Disney World, it’s more likely than you may think that at least one ride you want to experience will be closed.
This could be due to a mechanical issue on the day of, it could be closed for refurbishment for a little while, or bad weather may be preventing it from opening. If you’re headed to Disney World in the next week, remember that this popular ride will be CLOSED!
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, located in Frontierland, is one of the more popular rides in the park, especially for adults, older kids, and teens thanks to it being the wildest ride in the wilderness.
This ride is closing for a temporary refurbishment from January 16th-20th with a reopening scheduled for January 21st. The closure is just for routine maintenance on the ride to keep it in the best shape possible.
This also means that other wait times in the park will likely rise as patrons have one less ride to experience. So if you’re visiting the park during that week, keep that in mind when you’re planning what rides are at the top of your list!
