6 Reasons to Spend a Full Day in Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Disney’s Animal Kingdom is a fan-favorite option for many visitors to spend their morning.

Yes, many folks only tend to head to Animal Kingdom for the morning or for brief periods of time in the early afternoon. The park does close earlier than the others (at 7PM most nights) because of the animals, and there are fewer attractions here, so many folks don’t bother spending the full day in the park. However, we’re here to tell you why you totally SHOULD.

Here are six reasons to spend ALL DAY in Animal Kingdom!

You can experience popular attractions at night.

Some of our favorite things to do/see in Animal Kingdom at night include riding Expedition Everest, seeing the Tree of Life, and taking a stroll through Pandora.

Each of these takes on a whole new vibe at nighttime, and they’re so beautiful. Well, we wouldn’t say that Expedition Everest is extra beautiful, but it IS extra thrilling at night!

You can do EVERYTHING.

Animal Kingdom has fewer attractions than any other park, and it’s easier to get everything done before the park closes.

Even if you wait in line for Avatar: Flight of Passage, which has notoriously long waits, you’ll still likely be able to do and see everything that the park has to offer.

You can relax and take your time.

This goes hand-in-hand with the aforementioned point. Even as you’re doing EVERYTHING that the park has to offer, you’re able to do so without rushing.

If you’re looking for a park where you can be a bit more relaxed and just sort of hang out, Animal Kingdom is the place for you! Plus, the environment and scenery make it extra peaceful.

You can save some money.

So… taking the past two things into consideration, you can totally spend time in this park all day without purchasing Genie+ or Lightning Lanes.

This is the ONLY Disney World park that we tell people they can get away with not purchasing either of those things. This can save you a few bucks, especially if you would have purchased Genie+ for your entire party elsewhere.

The shopping is often GREAT.

That money you saved by not purchasing Genie+ can totally go elsewhere…

Toward merch and souvenirs! We have great luck finding merchandise here, and the selection is often better. This could be because Animal Kingdom is a lower-traffic park, and people don’t often think to check here for the merch they’re hoping to snag.

The food is GREAT.

We’re going to make a bold statement. Animal Kingdom is one of the BEST parks for food.
