How to Ride TRON at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in Disney World

We’re at the first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas of 2023 and ready to ride some rides!

While you’re at the party, you can see characters in their festive outfits, try many exclusive treats, and get free cookies and drinks. But one of the best parts of this exclusive event is the shortened wait times for the rides! Several rides have fun holiday overlays and most have low waits. But one continues to have a virtual queue during the party. Disney had announced that TRON Lightcycle / Run would have an exclusive virtual queue for exclusive events, so let’s take a look at what that looks like during one of these after-hours parties!

If you want to ride Tron after hours, you’ll have to have a registered Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party event ticket in your My Disney Experience App. Then right at 6PM, when the party officially begins, you can hop into the ride’s virtual queue!

Since we were at the party right from the beginning we grabbed our spot in line right away!

It was a very simple process and even on a sold-out night of the party, there were spots left for a while after 6PM, which was surprising! While we waiting for our boarding group to be called we were able to partake in all the other festivities around the park.

We talked to a Cast Member and found out that the night of the first party (which was sold-out) the standby line was usually walk on once your boarding group got called! The longest the line got throughout the night was about 20-30 minutes.

If you do get called, make sure you get to the ride in time before your group’s allotted time runs out.
