EPCOT has festivals seemingly all year round, and they each have their own unique offerings worth checking out.
From the Cookie Stroll at the International Festival of the Holidays to Bambi’s Butterfly House at the International Flower and Garden Festival, there is always something fun to explore no matter which one you attend. Unfortunately, these festival additions are limited-time, so if you miss something at one of them you’re usually out of luck. But, did you know that one of the festival offerings from the International Festival of the Arts is hiding in the World Showcase? Come check it out!
At the International Festival of the Arts, the Japan booth — Goshiki — has served sake in a traditional personalized wooden cup. Once you order it, you give them your name and the Cast Members will write it in Japanese for you!
Now, you can find these same wooden sake cups for $6.95, right inside Mitsukoshi — the department store inside the Japan Pavilion.
We noticed that they had added a new display with all kinds of information about the making of sake on a recent visit.
You can read about the brewing process of sake…
…some important sake terms, and more.
Did you miss out on the opportunity to get a wooden sake cup personalized at the Festival of the Arts? According to a Cast Member, they can write your name in Japanese on these cups right in the store. Just head to the counter where they sell the fans — which, by the way, you can get personalized as well.
These make super affordable and unique gifts to take home with you, so make sure to check them out. While you’re there, don’t forget to stop by Akoya Pearls — another really fun way to learn about Japanese culture and get a beautiful souvenir.
