Want to impress your friends with your Disney lounge knowledge? Take them to Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort for an evening out.
At this point, everyone knows about the popular Disney hotel bars, but let’s face it, it’s time to switch it up on vacation! Forget Trader Sam’s, skip Jellyrolls. This time, we’re taking you to an exclusive hotel lounge in Disney World you probably don’t know about!
Tucked away in Disney’s Gran Destino Resort (which is part of Disney’s Coronado Springs Hotel), a quiet, unassuming little lounge serves some quality drinks and appetizers and offers some of the most UNIQUE views in Disney World. See that building off in the distance? That’s the Tower of Terror!
The Dahlia Lounge is a rooftop lounge that lives high atop the Gran Destino Tower. It serves small plates of Spanish cuisine, tapas, and hand-selected wines.
This rooftop lounge is located next to Toledo — Tapas, Steak, and Seafood restaurant (which is also excellent, by the way). There’s plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available, so you can wait for your Toldedo dinner reservation at the Dahlia Lounge, or make a special trip up for the lounge!
If you’re wondering, the lounge (and the hotel itself) were inspired by a short film by famous artist Salvador Dalí (the short was called Destino — it’s on Disney+).
The details of this lounge are mesmerizing. Its decor fits with the rest of the theming for Coronado Springs but adds a bit of glamour. The chandeliers, the metal accents, and even the ceilings give this lounge an exclusive feel.
Its wine list is extensive, but the mixologists here would be sure to create a tasteful drink that will keep you happy while you enjoy your time in the lounge. You can sip on a cocktail while overlooking the stunning views of Disney property — now THAT’s the life.
Come for the drinks and tapas, and stay for the view at this delightful, hidden gem.
