How You Dine Has CHANGED at Chef Mickey’s in Disney World

Things are STILL working on returning to “normal” after Disney World’s pandemic closure in 2020.

The Disney Dining Plan still hasn’t returned, certain character meet and greets have just recently come back, and some restaurants that switched to family-style meals to limit germ exposure still haven’t returned to their regular buffet style. However, one popular restaurant welcomed back its buffet, and we went to check it out!

Chef Mickey’s at Disney’s Contemporary Resort has just welcomed back its buffet-style meal for the first time in three years. When this restaurant first reopened after the pandemic-related closures, it featured family-style service instead of the regular buffet we’d been used to.

Buffets are BACK!

But, that has all changed now and buffets have returned! We stopped by for breakfast to check it all out and were greeted by those gorgeous views inside the Contemporary atrium.

Of course, we were also greeted by some VERY familiar faces! Hi Goofy!

We also caught up with Pluto…

…and Donald Duck!

Let’s take a look at that buffet for the first time! We’ll be sharing our thoughts on the buffet’s return, so keep an eye out for more.
