Tolls Return to Expressways Around Disney World

If you’ve ever driven to Disney World, you probably know there’s an additional cost that a lot of guests might not know to account for: tolls on expressways.

Getting here usually requires paying tolls on the expressways

You might have to go through a few toll booths when driving to Disney World, and they will generally add up to around a total of $5. Recently, tolls were suspended due to Hurricane Ian, but they’ll be returning soon.

According to ClickOrlando, the tolls that were suspended on September 27th returned at 6AM on October 15th for these roads:

  • Apopka Expressway
  • Beachline Expressway (State Road 528)
  • Central Florida GreeneWay and Seminole Expressway (State Road 417)
  • Goldenrod Extension
  • I-4 Express
  • Osceola Parkway
  • Poinciana Parkway
  • Southern Connector Extension
  • State Road 453
  • Wekiva Parkway
  • Western Beltway
  • Florida’s Turnpike north of mile marker 249, just south of State Road 417
Driving to Disney World? You need to know about tolls

If you are driving to Disney World, keep that in mind. You can pay those tolls with cash (look for the lanes that indicate cash payments), but note that many booths do require exact change. You can also download the GoToll app — it tracks your license plate and sends you an alert to confirm your recent trip on a tollway. Then you can use the card attached to your GoToll account and pay the toll.

If you don’t mind taking a more roundabout approach, you can search Google Maps for a route to Disney World that doesn’t use toll roads, but the trip could take longer.
