One thing you can almost always expect from Disney World is change.
After all, that was Walt Disney’s original intention for the theme parks. We’ve seen rides come and go, we’ve seen new lands appear, and we’ve even watched our favorite shows go away to be replaced by new ones. Now, an iconic part of Disney World property has been taken away.
If you’ve ever been in a vehicle on your way to Disney World, you’ve most likely seen the Tower of Terror billboard with the elevator hanging from it advertising the ride in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
However, as of today, that billboard is gone.
All that’s left now are some piles of dirt and the machinery that removed the sign overnight.
For many of us, that sign was a detail we looked for because it signaled we were officially in Disney World! Now, though, this part of Disney World history is gone.
If you’re headed to Disney World soon, you’ll need to know about all the construction going on there. There are still a lot of changes happening at Disney World — the EPCOT transformation is still underway, Spirit of Aloha was demolished to make room for more DVC properties at Disney’s Polynesian Village, and more!
