We’re not going to sugarcoat it: Disney merchandise and souvenirs can add up fast and be very expensive.

Disney merchandise can add up!

We’ve seen things like $130 designer Disney princess dolls, more Disney Dooney & Bourke bags than we can count, and there are in-park souvenir experiences like building your own lightsaber at Savi’s Workshop in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. We’re rounding up some Disney merchandise dupes that you can get for less, without having to spend your money on the expensive souvenirs in the parks.

Lightsabers

At Savi’s Workshop in Star Wars: Galaxy’s edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, guests can build their very own lightsaber — for $219.99 plus tax. An argument can be made that the whole experience is worth it, but $219.99 is a lot to pay for what is essentially a toy. If you’re looking for a lightsaber, there are alternatives to Savi’s Workshop that you can get online before or after your trip. For example, at Target, you can get this Darth Maul Lightsaber.

This lightsaber is double sided and looks just like Darth Maul’s lightsaber in the movie. And the best part? It comes in pieces, so you can assemble it, recreating the Savi’s Workshop experience for a fraction of the cost.

This lightsaber is available at Target for $32.99.

The Darksaber makes noise and lights up and is available for $33.99.

You can also go straight to the source and get your lightsabers directly through Disney. There are lots of Star Wars brand lightsabers available on shopDisney, like this Rey lightsaber…

…or this Kylo Ren lightsaber.

These lightsabers are both $34.99, and are motion-activated so they will light up and make noises in coordination with play.

Mickey/Minnie Ears

Mickey and Minnie ears are definitely not the most expensive Disney souvenir you can choose, but at $29.99 or more for one Minnie ear headband, they can definitely add up fast. If you’re looking for a less expensive pair of ears, there are a few options available to you.

For example, on FUN.com, we found this pair of Minnie ears that look similar to designs that are available in the Disney parks.

These ears are $9.99, much cheaper than the price you can get similar ones in the parks.

You can even get Loungefly ears for cheaper elsewhere. Also on FUN.com is this pair of Mickey and Minnie Loungefly ears.

These ears have a red headband with one ear shaped like Mickey and one ear shaped like Minnie. They’re also themed after Valentine’s Day, so instead of polka dots, Minnie’s iconic pattern and Mickey’s buttons are shaped like hearts! The ears also come with a removable black bow with polka dot hearts. And the best part? These ears are $30, when Loungefly ears usually run about $39.99 in the parks.

Princess Dresses

In the Disney parks, Disney princess dresses and costumes will cost you at least $50, but if you buy them elsewhere, you can get a similar product for much less. For example, Amazon has this Cinderella princess dress.

This dress is blue and features some of the same design elements as Cinderella’s dress in the movie, plus some gold embellishments. And, if you press the button on the bodice, it will sing “A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes” from the movie! This dress is an Amazon exclusive, and you can get it for $29.99.

You can also grab this Moana costume from Target!

This costume comes as two pieces, a top and a bottom, and reviews mentioned that it was a high quality item. Plus, at $14.99, it’s much cheaper than anything you could get in the Disney parks.

If you’re looking for a princess dress with some more pieces, check out this Belle Dress that also comes with gloves and a bracelet!

©Target

This dress looks like the one Belle wears in Beauty and the Beast, with yellow gloves and a bracelet that has an enchanted rose on it. Because it comes with more pieces, it is a little more expensive than the other two dresses at $39.99, but it’s still cheaper than what you’ll find in the parks.

Apparel

And finally, we come to apparel. Disney shirts in the parks can start at $24.99 but can also go higher. There are a lot of options out there for shirts and other apparel items that you can get cheaper.

Check out this Pizza Planet shirt from Target.

Disney sells shirts that look similar to this shirt, but you can grab this one for much cheaper at $12.99.
