While we love a good stage show like Festival of the Lion King in Disney’s Animal Kingdom to get a break from the Florida heat, Disney World isn’t the only place that you can catch your favorite characters live!
You can see them on an even BIGGER stage — a.k.a. Broadway! Several Disney movies have been adapted into stage shows like Frozen and The Lion King. And, there’s another show that you might not know about (but totally should) — Winnie the Pooh Musical! It opened in New York City in fall 2021 and has since been in Chicago, but now, it might be heading to a city near you soon!
Broadway has announced that the Winnie the Pooh Musical adaptation is going on a National Tour! It’s currently in New York for another 5-week run, but starting in September 2022, it will be going to 39 cities, including Jacksonville, Cutler Bay, Fort Lauderdale, Tampa, and Gainesville in Florida!

We were able to see the Winnie the Pooh Musical during its original New York run, and it was so good that it begged the question — is the Winnie the Pooh Musical better than Hamilton? While that’s entirely a matter of opinion, we thought the Winnie the Pooh musical was delightful for kids and adults alike, and every Winnie the Pooh fan should try to see it!
The performances were wonderful, the sets were straight out of a storybook, and it perfectly captured our childhood memories of the Hundred Acre Wood.
