NEWS: Maria Bakalova Joins Marvel’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ Cast

BIG things are happening for Guardians of the Galaxy fans right now!

If you’re obsessed with the Guardians and want to get your Marvel fix in Disney World, the brand new coaster Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind has officially opened! There’s also another movie on the way and we’ve gotten behind-the-scenes looks, updates on filming, and a release date. But now, we’ve learned that another big celebrity is going to be in the film!

According to Deadline, Oscar nominee Maria Bakalova has joined the cast of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. The movie will also star actors like Chris Pratt, Will Poulter, Karen Gillian, Vin Diesel, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, Dave Bautista, Sylvester Stallone, and more.

Filming recently wrapped for the movie and Marvel has not released much about the plot of the superhero film.

Maria Bakalova had a breakout role in Borat Subsequent Moviefilm which earned her recognition as an actress and award nominations. Marvel has not even teased what part her character will play in the film, but director James Gunn said that she “is incredible”.

The movie isn’t set to release until May 2023, but there is plenty of new content to watch in the meantime. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set to release on Disney+ on June 22nd, plus Ms. Marvel debuts on the streaming service this week!
