While the restaurants at the parks and hotels may get talked about the most, you are missing out if you haven’t dined over at Disney World’s shopping and dining complex, Disney Springs!

The massive outdoor shopping and dining spot features a variety of beloved restaurants and treat shops. It also features a handful of food trucks, and a brand new one just opened!
In February, it was announced that Local Green, a Georgia-based eatery, would be opening a new location in Disney Springs. Well, the new Local Green Orlando is officially open! The food truck offers up sandwiches, wraps, and other health-conscious foods to enjoy.

You can find the bright green food truck on the west side of Disney Springs, joining the pre-existing food truck line-up of several Disney-owned food trucks, and 4 Rivers Cantina.

The menu features several options, including Rappers Delight Salmon Philly, Oh Boy Beyond Burger, Monsta Shrimp Burger, Badu Kale/Quinoa Wrap, and Bubba Sparxx Pulled BBQ Sandwich. For sides you can pick up Elote Street Corn and Air Fries, with smoothies, lemonades, and a kid-friendly Lil’ Meal option all available.

We picked up the Monsta Shrimp Burger for $15.99, featuring pan-seared jumbo shrimp, housemade slaw, slice beefsteak tomato, and sriracha mayo.

While the Elote Street Corn was not available at the time, we picked up the Air Fries instead for $5.99.

To finish off, we grabbed the Badu Wrap for $13.99, featuring a vegan spinach tortilla with kale, a quinoa blend, red onions, tomatoes, nutritional yeast, and locally-sourced kale dressing.

While not all vegan or vegetarian, the menu options will certainly appeal to those looking for a healthier bite to eat, with options available for those looking to avoid meat.

I’m hearing good things about the food here. We sure need some healthier options at WDW. I think a couple of healthy focused table service places would go over extremely well. I know when we’re there, eating fast food and countless big meals at all of the table service restaurants for an entire week, there are many times when we just start to feel miserable and wish there were someplace light but still better than opting for the cold boring salad.
