Wow, those new Minnie ears are…interesting. What’s this new plush supposed to be? Mickey? Hmmm, ok. That’s quite a statuette! Suppose that’s what you call art! Those were the good old days when expensive but strange, pretty easily accessible merchandise (I mean we’ve been in some pretty long lines for a new drop) was something Disney Parks fans would joke about amongst ourselves, but it was no big deal. On January 4th, 2022, all of that changed with the release of the now legendary Figment Popcorn Bucket in Walt Disney World’s EPCOT.

Footage of the line stretching to the front of the park made the national news, with reports that people were waiting more than 6 hours to buy this cute little purple plastic shell stuffed with rainbow popcorn, and reselling it on the internet for hundreds of dollars. The world now knows how intense Disney Parks fans are about merch, so we’ve got to ask ourselves, for science, what’s the WEIRDEST Thing I Ever Bought in a Theme Park?
