PHOTOS & VIDEOS: All the Holiday Entertainment at Disney Very Merriest After Hours!

It’s officially the FIRST night of Magic Kingdom’s NEW holiday party — Disney Very Merriest After Hours!

The holidays have arrived!

So far, we’ve been bringing you a look at what the event is like, and now we’re covering ALL the entertainment that you can experience throughout the 4-hour ticketed event!

Disney Enchantment

While it’s not technically part of the Very Merriest After Hours, your event ticket will allow you to get into Magic Kingdom at 7PM, meaning that you can catch the nightly showing of Disney Enchantment! This was a great way to kick off our evening of holiday fun, and it means that we’ll get to watch TWO fireworks shows tonight.

We had a great view of the projections!

Club Tinsel

For those who want to do some holiday dancing, you can check out the Club Tinsel dance party in Tomorrowland. When we walked by at the beginning of the night, they were getting set up with a soundcheck.

Once the party got started, the DJ was cranking some tunes while dancers amped up the crowd below. And when we stopped by, Santa Stitch was out here joining in on the fun!

It’s a party!

Make sure to check back at different times — you never know which characters you may spot busting a move. (And you may even catch some snoap!)

Come hang out with Stitch and watch him bust a move.

Mickey & Minnie’s Very Merry Memories

Plus, there’s even a brand NEW stage show called Mickey & Minnie’s Very Merry Memories that takes to Cinderella Castle at 9:25PM, 10:35PM, 11:45PM, and 12:50AM.

Don’t miss out on this show!

This new show features Mickey, Minnie, and several of their friends as they relive their memories of holiday parties past. You’ll get the chance to watch several of the stage show musical numbers from previous years!

So many of our favorite characters.

And the highlight of the show is Clarabelle Cow belting out some Mariah Carey…obviously. 😉

We really enjoyed this performance! It felt super festive and it was easy to get sucked into the Christmas spirit. Definitely a must-do if you’re attending Very Merriest!

Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade

After over 18 months, Disney Very Merriest After Hours marks the return of the first FULL parade in Disney World! And, it’s one that many long-time Disney fans will likely remember — Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade.

This parade is stunning!

The parade makes its way from Frontierland all the way through Liberty Square and down Main Street, U.S.A. at 9:45PM and 12:05AM. It features returning favorites like Mickey, Minnie, Frozen characters, toy soldiers, and Santa Claus himself.

Ending with a classic Santa Claus finale!

Keep in mind that if you want to watch the parade from Main Street, it takes a while for the floats to arrive there. They have to make their way through the entire park! (And pro tip: if you watch from Main Street, U.S.A., snoap will fall during the parade!)

Snoap just makes everything more magical.

We had a great view while we watched all of our favorite Disney pals ride through the park to Christmas music. It has been so long since we’ve seen a parade, we might’ve shed a tear or two!

Like the stage show, this one is definitely a can’t-miss if you’re attending the Very Merriest After Hours. It’s a Disney holiday staple!

Reindeer Wranglers

In the mood for some holiday tunes? Well, you can find the Reindeer Wranglers performing country versions of classic hits in Frontierland, perfect for the theme of the land!

Stop by to see the Reindeer Wranglers perform in Frontierland.

This band is rockin’ out throughout the night, and they’re definitely adding a little extra ambiance to this area. What a fun way to get festive!

Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks

And what’s the perfect way to cap off the evening? Why, a second fireworks show, of course!

More fireworks!

Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks shows at 11:15PM, and you certainly won’t want to miss it! You’ll get to listen to some amazing music, watch some stunning projections, and (spoiler!) even see your favorite fairy, Tinker Bell, fly across the sky.

There goes Tink!

It has been two years since we’ve seen this show, considering there were no fireworks in the parks this time last year. It’s definitely as holly jolly as we remembered!

It’s a truly spectacular show.

If you’re not a night owl, this might be the perfect way to end your evening. However, to get the most out of your ticket, we encourage you to stick around for the last two hours of the event and enjoy the slightly lower crowds. (Since so many people DO leave after the fireworks.)

Characters

All around Magic Kingdom, you’ll find characters throughout the night, all dressed in their holiday best. And who did we spot first? Well, it’s Santa Claus! He’s stationed at the gazebo in Liberty Square, and he even has a PhotoPass photographer!

We got the chance to stop and chat with him for a minute — he’s got a really nice setup with a Christmas tree and a big chair.

It’s SANTAAAAA!

You’ll need to stay distanced throughout the encounter, but you can talk to Santa and take lots of photos!

We got to tell Santa exactly what we wanted for Christmas!

The same is true for other characters around the park. We spotted Winnie the Pooh and Tigger on the porch of Crystal Palace. When we walked by, we were some of the only ones around, so we got a few minutes to interact with them.

Hey there Pooh!

Aren’t they so cute in their little scarves?!

It’s always a pleasure to chat with these two.

Over by Mad Tea Party, we were pleasantly surprised to find Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum causing some mischief! These two are particularly rare to spot in the parks.

How cool!

And in Adventureland across from Pirates of the Caribbean, we’re used to seeing Captain Jack Sparrow. However, tonight it was a different Captain in his place — Captain Hook…along with Mr. Smee!

These character interactions are spectacular!

That’s all the entertainment we’ve seen so far, but stay tuned because we’ll be updating this post throughout the night and sharing more Very Merriest After Hours coverage!
