Shanghai Disneyland Will Reopen Following Brief Closure From Typhoon Chanthu

Shanghai Disneyland was the first Disney park worldwide to reopen following the closures that took place in 2020, and the park has remained open since then.

However, inclement weather caused by Typhoon Chanthu forced the temporary closure of Shanghai Disneyland earlier this week. Extreme weather can cause the closures of Disney parks, as we’ve seen in recent years when major hurricanes pass through Florida.

Shanghai Disneyland has been closed on September 13th and 14th, but according to an update on their website, the park is scheduled to reopen on Wednesday, September 15th.

At this time, Shanghai Disneyland will be open from 10AM-10:30PM, and Disneytown will be open from 10AM-9PM. Wishing Star Park will remain closed.
