PHOTOS: We Stayed at a Fan-Favorite Hotel Right Next to EPCOT!

Ever wished you could just walk from your hotel directly into EPCOT for some tasty International Food & Wine Festival treats, a ride on Frozen Ever After, or just a leisurely walk around the Park? Then you might want to look into staying at Disney’s Beach Club Resort (or its neighbor, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort).

Disney’s Beach Club Resort

These resorts are well known (and much loved) for their shared water park area, convenient access to EPCOT, and walking access to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, among other features. But, just what does a standard room at the Beach Club look like? We stayed there recently and now we’re sharing a full room tour so you can decide for yourself if this hotel is worth it for you!

Resort Atmosphere

We’ll start with some resort atmosphere. When you arrive at the Beach Club, you’ll walk past the entrance…

Entering the Beach Club

…and into the lobby area.

Beach Club Lobby

There, you’ll find a variety of seating options for you to enjoy and relax in. There are also lots of little light fixtures throughout and details to look at throughout the space.

Beach Club Lobby

Note that the Beach Club as a whole is made up of two separate resort offerings. There are Disney Vacation Club Villas at the resort and standard hotel rooms. While the Disney Vacation Club Villas had been open for quite some time, the Beach Club’s standard rooms opened back in May of this year.

Only deluxe hotel guests get Extended Evening Hours

After you’ve left the lobby, you can head to the part of the resort where your room is located, or hop onto the elevators.

Beach Club Elevators

On the way to your room, you’ll generally find hallways featuring light, soft hues of grey, white, and blue, with an ocean-inspired carpet featuring seashells, bubbles, and more.

Rooms

Before we dive into the room tour itself, however, let’s talk about the resort’s general amenities. As we noted, one of the Beach Club (and Yacht Club’s) most popular features is the pool area. The pool here is no ordinary resort pool. Instead, guests of these hotels get to enjoy what is essentially a mini water park called Stormalong Bay.

Stormalong Bay

Stormalong Bay is 3 acres in size and features a 230-foot-long waterslide, a lazy river, a main pool with a sand bottom, and more.

Stormalong Bay

In terms of transportation, as we mentioned the Beach Club is walking distance to EPCOT. There is also a walking path from the hotel to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, though that is a longer walk.

Resort Signage

The Beach Club also offers regular Disney World bus transportation to select theme parks, water parks, and Disney Springs. There is also boat transportation available from the resort to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. And if you walk over to the nearby Skyliner station, you can hop on the Skyliner to get to Disney’s Hollywood Studios or the hotels on the Skyliner line.

Heading to the Dock

In terms of dining options, there are quite a few things available at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, and more options nearby due to the resort’s closeness to the Yacht Club and even Disney’s BoardWalk Inn and the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resorts.

At the Beach Club, you can grab a quick meal at Beach Club Marketplace, enjoy some ice cream and delicious items at the fan-favorite Beaches & Cream Soda Shop, or grab a filling meal at Cape May Cafe (note that Cape May Cafe is currently serving breakfast and dinner family-style, not buffet style).

Souvenir Vanilla Shake!

You can also grab some items at Martha’s Vineyard and Hurricane Hanna’s Waterside Bar and Grill, or stop by the Yacht Club for more dining options.

Martha’s Vinyard

You can also do some shopping at the resort’s gift shop, check out the resort’s activity offerings, and more.

Seaside sounds so nice!

Alright, now let’s get into the room.

Room Tour

During our stay at the Beach Club, we were in a standard room (not a Disney Vacation Club villa) featuring 2 beds.

Our Room

Overall, the decor in the main room is fairly sparse with lightly colored headboards, all white sheets, and a few paintings.

The Main Bedroom Space

There’s also a nightstand between the two beds, with space to place your phone or other items you want near you. And there are two lights above each bed that can be turned on or off depending on your needs.

The Beds and Nightstand

The room also features a television and a mini-fridge. The mini-fridge is great for storing leftover snacks or placing some fruits or drinks for the mornings or afternoons.

The Mini Fridge

We were on the ground floor, so outside of our sliding glass door, you can see some patio furniture out on the small patio space. If you’ll be spending a lot of time in the resort and looking for a quiet place to relax, the patio or balcony outside your room could be the perfect spot.

A Look Outside

Love to make coffee in your room before heading out for the day? In the room you’ll find a Keurig coffee machine…

Coffee Station

…some coffee pods…

Time for Coffee

…and the other supplies you’ll need to make your coffee nice and sweet, like some creamer and sugar. There’s also a bucket in the back for ice, which you can get at the ice machines in the hotel.

All the Things You Need

Finding yourself with a suitcase full of wrinkled clothes? Disney has you covered with an iron and ironing board in the room.

Gotta Get Those Clothes Ironed!

There’s also a closet space with an extra pillow/blanket, hangars, and a safe so you can store your valuables.

Closet Space

The room also features a small desk and a chair, with a mirror so you can get some work done, put on your makeup, or just take a seat.

More of the Room

In the bathroom, you’ll find two sinks located on one side, as well as a large mirror, a smaller mirror attached to one side of the wall, various towels throughout, and some storage space underneath the sinks.

The Bathroom

There’s a good amount of space for you and your family to place your things on the counter or underneath the sinks as you get ready.

Perfect for Getting Ready

Behind a nearby door, you’ll find the area of the bathroom with the toilet and shower.

Heading to the Other Part of the Bathroom

The shower curtain has a few hidden Mickeys scattered in there, so you’ll want to look closely for those!

Bathroom Area

In the bathroom, you’ll also find the fabulous H2O+ soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

YES! The Soaps!

And that’s a basic overview of the standard room we stayed in at the Beach Club.

Overall Impression

Overall, the Beach Club is a fan-favorite resort for a few reasons: the pool area, the closeness to EPCOT, the fact that it is also walking distance to Disney’s Hollywood Studios or just a relatively quick boat ride away, and some of the dining spots it features like Beaches & Cream. And truly, those are the amenities you’re paying for when it comes to these rooms.

Such a Beautiful Resort

A stay at the Beach Club isn’t cheap. When we searched for a stay from February 11th to the 14th, 2022, the rooms we saw were priced at $610 per night (on average) for a standard view, $782 per night for a water view.

The standard room we stayed in was just that…pretty standard. It had many of the same features other Disney World resort hotels (particularly Deluxe hotels) have including the mini-fridge, the coffee maker, the nice bathroom. The theming was very light. The room is nice but nothing particularly unique. Still, the close access to 2 Disney World parks, the water park area, and more continue to make this hotel a fan favorite.

  1. I love the Yacht and Beach but you can get same level of room with all same amenities except that pool at Swan and Dolphin for half price.

  2. One of my favorite places to stay…this and Yacht Club, especially with a water view. I also love when, after a huge meal at Yachtsman Steakhouse, and you are in a food comma, you can easily just walk back to your room! Love it!

  3. I grew up going to WDW every year for a family vacation. I have found myself as an adult with a comfortable lifestyle and income saying, “Are you insane?” I don’t mind paying more but I have to feel like I’m getting a good value for my money. For a room that has the same amenities as a $100-$200 a night room there are no amount of “convenient perks” that would make this worth it. You’re going to implode your business model eventually when even the most liberal people think you’re pricing yourself too high for what you get.

  4. I love the beach club! Best pool ever, you can do that for a day or more and not even pay to enter the theme parks. Location is super for walking to 2 parks. I love the feel of this resort- light, airy and beachy. IT is expensive but we always use a discount or stay in the villas with DVC rental points!
