Are you looking for the perfect place to stay on your next Disney World vacation?

Walt Disney World is home to dozens of hotels and resorts, and there are options at all price points. If you’re in need of somewhere budget-friendly, but also close to the action with great transportation options, look no further than Disney’s Pop Century Resort!
We recently booked a stay at this Value Resort, and we took TONS of photos to share with all of you!

So, without further ado, here’s our full tour of a Standard Room, so that you can know exactly what you’re getting before you choose this hotel for your next vacation.
Pop Century Resort Standard Room Tour
For our visit, we stayed in a Standard Room. The doors open to the outside, located along the shared balconies and walkways of the building. Each room gets a window, and you can upgrade to get a Pool View if you’d like.

There are two sets of curtains, so you can decide how much light you’d like to let in. Keep in mind that other guests will be walking directly in front of your window throughout the day.

Directly across from the door, there’s a coffee station with shelving and a mini-fridge. There’s not a great deal of storage here, but it’s enough for a few snacks and drinks.

The mini-fridge has three shelves and a door with a window, so you can see what all you have inside without having to open and close it. (There’s also a small luggage stand stored next to the fridge.)

The coffee maker is a small cup-at-a-time model from Cuisinart. Disney provides a few disposable, portable coffee cups that you can use in the morning (or whenever you make your coffee!).

There are a few different hot beverage options to choose from, with an Artisan Roasted and a Decaf blend, both from Joffrey’s. There are also a few packets of Twinings tea, some creamers, and various sweeteners.

The coffee station is also home to an ice bucket, but you’ll have to go fill it up yourself at the ice machine.

Next to the coffee station, our room had two cans for disposing of your trash — one for regular trash and the other for recyclables.

As far as the main section of the room goes, one bed is traditional while the other is a Murphy bed that folds up into a dining table. There’s also a dresser with a TV mounted on the wall above.

The dresser comes with three drawers and a cabinet, and there’s plenty of counter space on top to place your belongings. The TV was automatically playing the park hours and important information when we arrived, including details on the day’s weather forecast.

Inside the cabinet, you’ll find a few important things. There’s a safe in each room for guests to store their personal belongings. We also found an extra set of linens in ours.

When the Murphy bed is in the upright position, there’s more room to move around, and there is a small table surface for dining, work, or storage. The table comes with two chairs, so if you have more than two people in your room, you’ll have to get creative with your seating arrangement.

All the pillows for both beds were stored on the one regular bed, and it was made up with simple white sheets, pillowcases, and bedspread. There are two floating nightstands on either side of the bed for easy storage.

As part of the recent renovations to the Pop Century rooms, we got some new Mickey Mouse artwork! It’s fun and modern and adds just the perfect touch of Disney to the room. Your kids will love it!

There’s also plenty of storage room underneath the bed — a great place to put your suitcases if you’re the kind of person who unpacks them during your trip.

The nightstand in-between the two beds was a little smaller, but it was home to the room’s phone, as well as the light switches for this side of the room. Also, there were two regular outlets and two USB plug-ins, which is very useful if you have multiple devices to charge.

The nightstand on the wall side was a little more spacious, with a large cubby underneath. This one also had a light switch and four outlets (two regular, two USB). We really like how many plugs are in this room!

Now, let’s check out the Murphy bed! You’ll want to make sure you move those chairs out of the way first.

It pulls down easily into another bed, doubling the number of people who can sleep in the room.

And speaking of fun artwork, this space is home to an adorable graphic of a sleeping Pluto. Fans of Mickey and friends are going to love this new design!

Once both beds are down, they take up a significant amount of room space, so keep in mind that you may want to put the Murphy bed away when getting ready in the morning.

Moving over to the bathroom, Disney made sure to fit plenty of storage options in here! One side is home to the sink and a closet area.

There’s an ironing board hanging on the wall and a small cubby with hangers for clothing that’s more delicate.

There are several cubbies spread throughout, some with extra towels and toiletries stored inside.

Inside the cabinet, we found the hairdryer and the iron.

Connected to the sink room is the rest of the bathroom, and it can be closed off for privacy with the sliding door.

The sink is a decent size, and there’s a fair amount of counter space on either side. You’ll also find some storage underneath.

As we move into the shower/toilet room, there are several towel rods hanging on the wall with towels for the room.

The toilet is located on the opposite wall. This room isn’t very large, so you’ll want to be careful when navigating around in here.

The shower has a sliding door instead of a curtain, and the glass is frosted.

There are two showerheads inside, one that is mounted to the wall and one that can be removed and handheld — easier for washing children.

The toiletries are Disney’s H2O+ brand, and they come in refillable bottles mounted to the shower wall. There should be a plastic cover over the pumps to let you know that they’ve been cleaned.

Above the soaps, you’ll find a little wall cubby for any additional toiletries that you need. There isn’t a ton of storage in here, so you’ll either have to sit your necessities in this cubby or on the shower floor.

The shower floor is flat with a drainage area at the front.

Located elsewhere around the bathroom, we found more H2O+ products, namely, a facial soap. This is the only individually-packaged toiletry item that was in our room.

There was also a magnifying mirror mounted to the wall by the sink. This bathroom is full of amenities!

Extra toilet paper and tissues could be found above the cabinets. The toilet paper is Scott brand while the tissues are Surpass.

And then around the room, there were some other features that you’ll likely want to know about. We were given a brochure detailing the cleaning procedures in our room, noting that cleaning protocols have been enhanced since the pandemic. Included in this was an individually-packaged TV remote that had been sanitized!

And as we previously noted, there are several outlets around this room, both regular and USB. In this age of tech, you won’t have any problems getting all your devices charged — even with four people in one room!

There’s also a digital thermostat to adjust the temperature of your room. Ours was set at 64 degrees, but it’s fairly simple to change.

And the view out of our window gave us a glimpse at the rest of the resort. We didn’t get a room with a special view, but we could still see some of the whimsical Pop Century theming all around!

This resort is so colorful and fun! Keep in mind that with this outdoor room setup, your resort may be a little louder than if you were staying at a hotel with an indoor hallway.

All in all, we really enjoyed our stay at Disney’s Pop Century Resort and we can’t wait to come back! We hope this room tour gave you a better idea of what to expect on your next vacation.
