Blue Bayou has reopened today at the Disneyland Resort for the first time since the closures began in March of last year!

We stopped by New Orleans Square today to check everything out (along with the new drink menu!) and enjoy some tasty bites at this fan-favorite Disneyland table service restaurant.
Arriving and Seating
We arrived in time for our dining reservation at Blue Bayou and checked in via the Disneyland App. There is a small waiting area set up at the entrance to the restaurant…

…but we didn’t have to wait long until we were brought to our table!

Blue Bayou is seating at limited capacity, given the current guidelines in place from the state of California, so the tables were a bit more spread out in the dining area.

But, don’t worry, you can still watch as boats pass by from the neighboring ride, Pirates of the Caribbean while your eating!

And, with the current table arrangement in the restaurant, most parties are seated along the water, so you’ll have a great view
Menu
Now onto the eats and drinks! When we sat down, the Cast Member directed us to scan the barcode on the table to view the full menu — something that most restaurants are doing in Disney right now.

So, let’s start off with the newest menu items — alcoholic beverages! For the first time ever, Blue Bayou is serving alcoholic beverages to guests age 21 and above, and the menu includes wine by the glass, sparkling wine, a wine tasting selection…

…and three signature drinks. Prices vary a little bit depending on what you’re ordering, but you can generally expect to pay between $10 to $20 for your boozy beverage.

As for appetizers, there are three options including Signature Gumbo, Grilled Heirloom Jumbo Asparagus, and a House Salad.

And, for entrees, you can choose from six different classic southern dishes like a Monte Cristo Sandwich and Jumbalaya. Now, the dishes are on the pricier side for dining at Disneyland, so keep that in mind when you’re making your reservations.

And, every good meal ends with dessert, right? You can choose between an 8-Layer Chocolate and Hazelnut Cake or a Vanilla-Bourbon Creme Brulee both for $9 each.

And, there’s an extra (and pricey) dessert item that you won’t find on the menu called the Sparkling Wine Celebration Finale. This comes with two glasses of wine (Le Grand Courtâge Grand Cuvée Blanc de Blancs Brut) and is served with a Crème Brûlée Duo of Vanilla Bourbon and Café Au Lait with Chocolate-dipped Madeleines. PLUS, you’ll get specialty Blue Bayou Macarons that are flavored as Bananas Foster, Signature Hurrican, and Pecan Praline. This decadent dessert option will cost you $65.
We definitely walked out of there full and happy to be back! We’ll be checking out all the restaurants reopening in Disneyland, so be sure to follow along for even more exciting news and updates!

How did you make the reservation? I’ve been trying to do it multiple times a day but there are never any openings.
But are the nonalcoholic mint juleps still refillable?
