NEWS: Main Street Confectionary Will Reopen With a NEW LOOK in Disney World

With just about six months before the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary celebrations begin, Disney is working hard to make sure that everything is ready.

Recently, Cinderella Castle has been getting some sparkly additions, Peter Pan’s Flight is “in progress” as the entrance sign undergoes refurbishment, and every day it seems that we can find something new that has either reopened or just closed. And, one of the sweetest shops in Disney’s Magic Kingdom is next on the punch list.

Today, Disney shared that the Main Street Confectionery will be getting an updated layout and “interactive opportunities” to personalize your sweets and treats! But, in order to do so, the shop that makes Main Street, U.S.A. smell as sweet as it does will be closing beginning March 29th for a lengthy refurbishment.

And, that’s not the only shop that will close down for a little while. The Chapeau will also be closing on March 29th.

In the meantime, you’ll be able to find the iconic treats from the bakery in the Emporium and Main Street Cinema. Plus, you can still find Disney hats and Mickey Ears in Box Office Gifts located in Town Square Theater. Because treats will be taking over the home of Disney collectibles and artwork, those will move to Bonjour! Village Gifts in New Fantasyland.

Currently, Disney lists Main Street Confectionery as closed through at least June 4th. We will keep our eye out for more updates so stay tuned to AllEars for the latest!
