Since Disney World’s reopening last summer, we’ve seen many rides receive a plexiglass makeover.
The addition of plexiglass serves as a barrier between guests, allowing more people to be on a ride at once. This helps promote efficiency and keeps lines moving. Among the many rides that have received plexiglass include Frozen Ever After, Rise of the Resistance, the Wildlife Express Train, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, and more. Now, plexiglass has been added to Na’vi River Journey, too!
We recently noticed that plexiglass dividers were being tested on Na’vi River Journey in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. During our visit today, dividers had been installed in all of the boats and every row was being loaded with guests.
We noticed that the line was moving significantly quicker than we’ve experienced in the past.
Na’vi River Journey often boasts the longest wait time in all of Animal Kingdom, so hopefully, this change will help to minimize that.
At the end of this week when we share our weekly average wait time report, we’ll be able to tell if this change made a notable difference. Check back with us for more news from Disney Parks!
THREE Rides Tied for the Longest Wait Time in Disney World Today!
Have you experienced any Disney World rides with plexiglass additions? Tell us in the comments!
Yes unfortunately Bob is correct. If you are behind the plexiglass it goes distort the view making it harder to see. Especially noticeable on the Frozen river ride so I would imagine it would be more noticeable in the Navi river ride as well. The water splashes make it worse too.
Plexiglass dividers significantly distort the view and more riders are requesting the first row. Dividers are not the answer. Wait times are uncontroled and the total can exceed the park hours. The only solution is to bring back the fast pass.
