Saving money on your Disney World vacation doesn’t mean you’re sacrificing the best that the parks and resorts have to offer!

In fact, there are some pretty remarkable perks when staying at a Disney World value resort — let’s chat about them today!
Disney World’s Value Resorts include Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, and Disney’s All Star Resorts (Movies, Music, and Sports). The resorts are aptly categorized as “Value” because they offer the best monetary value amongst the Disney World hotels. These hotels are at the lowest price points you’ll find across property.

In exchange for a less expensive overnight rate, you’ll find that the Value resorts don’t offer as many amenities as you’ll find at the Moderate or Deluxe Resorts. Value Resorts only offer counter service dining (so no sit-down restaurants), limited shopping, and typically smaller rooms.

But don’t let the “lack” of amenities scare you away! There are some stellar reasons why you should consider staying at a Value resort on your next vacation.
Skyliner Access
If you’re staying at Disney’s Pop Century Resort or Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, you’ll be situated right along the Skyliner route! The Disney Skyliner is the newest mode of transportation to get to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and only a select number of resorts have easy access to the gondolas!

This quick and efficient mode of transportation is a HUGE perk, especially if you know you want to spend time at EPCOT or Hollywood Studios. Just keep in mind that bus services to those two parks may be limited because guests have the option to take the Skyliner.
Family Suites
If you’re traveling with a larger group, both Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and Disney’s All Star Music Resort offer Family Suites! These could add up to additional savings if you’re torn between a suite or booking multiple rooms. If your traveling with kiddos, this is also a great way to make sure everyone in your family has room to sleep!

All Star Music’s Family Suites, which sleep up to 6 guests, are 520 square feet (twice as large as their standard rooms) and are located in the Jazz and Calypso buildings. Art of Animation’s nearly 2,000 Family Suites are located in the Finding Nemo, Cars, and The Lion King sections of the resort.
You’re Saving Money!
Perhaps the most obvious benefit when staying at a Disney World value resort is that you’re saving a ton of money on your hotel accommodations, which is likely going to be the biggest line item in your vacation budget. Value resorts typically offer prices in the mid-$100 range, while the next level up (the Moderate Resorts) can be double the price.

These savings can add up to hundreds of dollars per night, offering you the chance to splurge a little more on food or souvenirs, or simply have a longer vacation in Disney World!
Fun Theming Throughout the Resorts
If you’re looking to stay at a resort with super fun theming that screams “we’re at Disney World,” look no further than the value resorts. These resorts all come decorated with larger-than-life statues, structures, and more. These also make for fun photo ops with the family!

The pools at the Value Resorts also lean heavily into the theming. The pools are also rather large (Art of Animation has the largest resort pool on property), so there’s plenty of room to lounge or play!

Whether or not you choose to stay at a value resort on your next Disney World vacation, we hope this guide was helpful in sharing what makes these resorts a great option! These hotels may not have the most luxurious amenities, but if your goal is to have a comfy place to rest your weary head after a long day in the parks, you can’t beat the value resorts!
