Disney and Pixar’s animated films are not only heart-warming, but they are also works of art with lots of gorgeous detail!

Although Pixar builds incredible stories on their own, they do take a few notes from locations around the world! Let’s take a look at some of the real-life locations that inspired some of the films.

Pixar shared a glimpse of the location inspirations that animators have referenced when they build environments in their films. And, WOW, are we blown away by the detail that artists have put into creating these movies! Pixar animators have traveled around the world to reconstruct imagery of places like the Sydney Opera House in Finding Nemo…

…the Day of the Dead ofrendas in Coco…

…rocks from Mount Roraima in Venezuela in Up…

…and Scotland’s lush countryside in Brave.
