There are TONS of tasty and iconic snacks in Disney World. Across the four theme parks and countless resorts, there’s a snack for just about everybody!
But we’ll admit that Disney doesn’t ALWAYS have it together when it comes to snack offerings. Whether it’s other theme parks who have stepped up their snack game in recent years or there’s simply a GAPING hole in what Disney World could serve, here are a few snacks that we’re shocked aren’t readily available in Disney World!
Jacket Potatoes
We’re kicking off our list with one of our favorite snacks from Universal Orlando Resort. Jacket Potatoes is something along the lines of the greatest amusement park food you can think of, elevated to the next level! These come in different flavors and varieties, like the Shepherd’s Pie Jacket Potato from Diagon Alley. Any kind of stuffed, loaded, smothered-in-all-the-toppings potatoes would sell like hot cakes in Disney World! Even Disneyland serves up some scrumptious loaded potatoes at Troubadour Tavern, so let’s hop on it, Disney World!
Pizza Fries
Our next set of snacks sort of fall under the same umbrella, and that’s a variation on the classic french fries. Disney definitely has the loaded french fry game down, especially when it comes to dishes like Poutine from Refreshment Port and Pulled Pork Cheese Fries at FlameTree BBQ.
First up are the delicious Pizza Fries that we look forward to every time we head to Universal Orlando Resort! These are crinkle cut fries topped with marinara sauce, pepperoni, sausage, mozzarella, and parmesan cheese. We can totally see a version of this dish served at PizzeRizzo or, frankly, at any Quick Service location that serves pizza!
S’mores Fries
This next french fry variation is another Halloween Horror Nights favorite of ours! The Screaming for S’mores Fries is a healthy dose of sweet potato fries with marshmallow, dark chocolate chips, and crumbled graham crackers. We know, at first glance you may be skeptical, but trust us when we say that this flavor combo really works! Disney World has its fair share of seasonal treats for Halloween, but they could take a few notes from what we’ve enjoyed over at Universal, too!
More Greek Food!
Okay, Disney World DOES serve up some yummy Greek food from time to time, especially during the EPCOT festival seasons. But that’s all the more reason to have them be a permanent fixture in Disney World dining! We could definitely see us strolling around World Showcase with a gyro in one hand and Spanakopita in another 365 days a year!
Fresh fruit smoothies and juices
Now that we’ve discussed all the indulgent snacks we’re shocked haven’t arrived to Disney World in some way, shape, or form, let’s wrap up our list with a healthier item. There’s definitely ways to find delicious smoothies at Disney World, whether you head to Auntie Gravity’s in Tomorrowland for a Strawberry Smoothie or you hit up the local Joffrey’s Coffee and Tea stand.
What we would LOVE to see Disney implement are fresh fruit smoothies or perhaps fresh fruit and vegetable juices! While calories don’t count in Disney World, it would be nice to know that we at least have the option to have a juice in one hand, and an ice cream cone in the other!
