Earnings calls are a way for investors to hear directly from a company the current financial standings as well as a recap of the previous quarter’s activities. Since this is a Fourth Quarter call, this will be an opportunity to look back on Disney’s entire 2019-2020 Fiscal Year.

During the upcoming earnings call, we can expect to learn the “bigger picture” of how the global pandemic impacted the company, specifically in terms of both the park closures worldwide as well as the shuttering of movie theaters.

Since the last earnings call, the live action remake of Mulan arrived on Disney+, signaling a major shift in the way Disney could handle upcoming film releases. The Company has also since laid off 28,000 Cast Members across its Parks, Experiences, and Products division, which came after the business segment suffered a $3.5 billion loss from the worldwide park closures.
