PHOTOS! Magic Kingdom's New Entrance Sign Is In Progress!

Work is well underway on refurbishing the main entrance to the Magic Kingdom parking lot. The sign that adorns the entrance that cars drive through will be re-painted in celebration of the park’s 50th anniversary.

This morning on our way into Magic Kingdom, we were able to catch a glimpse at the sign’s new navy color!

While only a small portion of the sign has been painted, we can already see a huge difference! Not only was the bright blue color replaced with a deeper, rich navy, but the silver letters are being swapped out for gold! Gold, of course, is symbolic of a 50th anniversary, so we can expect to see plenty more of it in the coming year!

We zoomed in a bit so you can see more of the detail! The blue flags that were sitting on top of the sign will also be swapped out for new gold flags.
