Jambo from Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
We’re visiting the wild park today, taking you on a photo tour with us and reporting what we see. From crowd levels to wait times, here’s what happened at Animal Kingdom today!
Follow Along from Our Day at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
We started our time at the park midday, when crowds were noticeably slower towards the entrance.

First and foremost, we had to stop at Creature Comforts — it is Pumpkin Spice season, after all.

Heading towards Africa, the crowds were even more sparse. In our experience, Animal Kingdom has seen the lowest crowds of all four parks, which typically means the lowest wait times as well.
Case in point, we went over to Kilimanjaro Safaris, where there was a posted ten minute wait.
And it’s worth every minute to see the animals, including the okapi…

…the giraffes…
…and zebras!
After Kilimanjaro Safaris, we went over to Gorilla Fall Exploration.
Can you spot the gorilla here?
Or here?
Spoiler Alert: Here’s where these guys were hiding!
Along with the gorillas, we spotted plenty of characters at the park today! Look how cute Safari Mickey, Minnie, and Pluto were boating along the river!

One of our favorite parts of Animal Kingdom is the details. Next time you are over in Africa, take a moment to take in some of the beautiful signs, wall paintings, and other small details the park offers.
Over at the Tree of Life, we spotted another pal — a lone macaw searching for some snacks!

And before heading out, we had to check in on Pandora — the floating mountains get us every time.
And that’s it for our day at Animal Kingdom! Let us know what you think, and what you want to see from our visits to the parks!
Check out the wait times from all four parks in Disney World today!
