We recently reported a story about Rise of the Resistance experiencing an oddly long down time. Reports of the ride not operating today came after a massive lightning storm moved through Disney World last night, with one lightning bolt striking in the area of Galaxy’s Edge.
We are now hearing reports that the popular attraction in Disney’s Hollywood Studios will not reopen at all today.
Disney Food Blog just shared a report of a reader reaching out to them who had a Boarding Group from this morning. That guest noted that they received word on My Disney Experience that Rise of the Resistance will not be able to accommodate their group today.
We have yet to hear any official confirmation on whether or not this closure is directly due to the lightning bolt strike that took place last night, or if there is an unrelated issue with the attraction.
Either way, we will definitely keep a close watch on Rise of the Resistance to see if it is operating tomorrow and in the days to come!
