The landscape of international travel has changed drastically over the past few months, and many are left wondering what that could mean for guests looking to visit Disney World from abroad. International travel companies like Virgin Atlantic are still in the process of delaying the resumption of their services to Orlando at this time.

With the Most Magical Place on Earth implementing strict health and safety protocols ahead of the theme parks reopening in mid-July, one travel company in Europe has made the decision to cancel holidays through the end of the year.
Europe’s largest travel company TUI has cancelled all UK holidays to Florida until December 2020 due to the guidelines Disney has set in their parks and resorts, according to Yahoo! News.

In a statement, a spokesperson for the company said that TUI “commits to only operating holidays where it’s able to guarantee an enjoyable, relaxing and safe holiday without significant changes at their destination.”

TUI is currently offering their customers full refunds, or the option to delay their holiday until next year.

Disney has impressed us with the arrangements so far – we booked before crisis and are hoping to get magical in December. Yes there will be inconveniences and we will have to change the way we plan. We got our park passes earlier in the week (we plan meticulously) after a little patience was required for the whole trip. Perfect, no but acceptable – very much! Just keeping fingers crossed that Florida can get its act together.
I was due to go to Disney this September but wanted to reschedule to next September. I have booked with TUI and they have been so helpful. I will be getting a refund credit on my account along with a 10% extra on the total cost of the holiday to rebook for next year. Hopefully animal kingdom hotel will be back open by then and less restrictions.
