Disney Pic of the Week: Insect

For the month of March, 2020, we will be visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom and its denizens. Starting with the smallest ones: Insects.

Along the Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail, the research building, known for its colony of Naked Mole Rats, has terrariums of other species, too.

The Flamboyant Flowering Beetle (Eudicella gralli) sure lived up to its name. As members of the scarab beetle family, they were considered sacred by ancient Egyptians.
