To all who come to this photo trivia game, Welcome! Along the way, the photos can make us relive memories and see details Walt’s Imagineers put into everything we love in Walt Disney World!
We celebrated two holidays in the past week, Players! Canada Day and American Independence Day!
and
I hope you had a great holiday!
Players, I missed two winners last week: John Paul Carnell and Pecosace. I put your name in for the monthly drawing and I am very sorry this happened. Unfortunately, I do make the mistake once in awhile – rarely, thank goodness! – or entries come in after the deadline. If it does happen, please just let me know! I will always correct the error and apologize.
Mike Haeberle asked about the Monthly Calendar pages that used to be posted on the photo blog. Those were done by Barrie Brewer who, sadly for us-fortunately for her, got a job requiring more time. (Barrie, if you read this: smooches!)
Fortunately for her fans, she does still post the calendar pages on her photography site.
Bob Henriksen, could you ask your granddaughter to come to the screen? Hi! I’m so glad you like playing our game and that you are such a big help to your grandfather!
Here was last week’s Challenge:

And here’s the answer:

It’s the sign outside Pinocchio Village Haus! I did my best to say the Haus with an Arnold Schwarzenegger accent just for you, Jenn Steele. Hope you liked it. 😉
One of the best parts of this quick service restaurant is the windows looking down into “it’s a small world”. But as Laurie Walker, Mickey Eckert, Agnes Ciotti, Kyler Scott pointed out, if you sit by the windows, you have to wave to the people going by in the Small World boats. It’s part of the Disney spirit!
And, Agnes Ciotti, thanks for putting the Small World song in my head. Players, if I’m hearing this over and over, then we all are:
it’s a world of laughter, a world or tears
it’s a world of hopes, its a world of fear
theres so much that we share
that its time we’re aware
its a small world after all!
Everybody! (I’m feeling it now!)
it’s a small world after all
it’s a small world after all
it’s a small world after all
it’s a small, small world!
Now everyone wave at the boats!
Dave Carriere, you said the chocolate cake is probably bigger than your head. So…. are you saying you need someone to help you with it? ‘Cause…. I’d be willing to help. In the name of team spirit, of course.
Look, Les Stewart, you made it! 😉 And here’s to the team effort of The Hanna Family! Special mention to Mary Tackett’s 15 year old son’s stomach who told his mom in no uncertain terms where the answer was for this week! And to Patrick Broaddus’ wife who lists this as one of her favorite place to eat, so he KNOWS this sign well!
Also, we get to share the special memory of the Hoekzema Family’s one son who celebrated using a spoon on his own for the first time with a chocolate gelato here at Pinocchio Village Haus!
