My daughter received LICE at The BIBBIDI BOBBIDI experience. I called and Disney won’t take responsibility for my daughter getting Lice. They use the same brush on kids all day and there has to be an infestation of Lice in that room.

Pros:

Would have been a beautiful experience without receiving LICE

Cons:

They should use new brushes for each kid. They are changing enough to be able to do that make sure that they aren’t passing Lice around. It has been a nightmare since my daughter got it and then of course I got it as well and we both had to miss a week of work and my daughter summer camp.

Bring back the Great Movie Ride. Hands down much better than Runaway Railway. If your 6 years old you'll like this otherwise don't bother.

Pros:

Great for little kids

Cons:

If your 13 or older it's a waste

My first time in Disney we stayed at Wilderness Lodge. Every moring my dad would go roam the resort and bring back a sprinkled cupcake for me before we would leave for the parks. It was so yummy! Mind you I was a teenager but i have loved cake all my life and feel like i knew my stuff even back then. My parents also really liked the bakery case and grab and go options

Pros:

they have cake

Cons:

you cant get here directly unless youre in the MK area

Review of Liberty Tree Tavern Dinner

For Magic Kingdom, this is excellent food. Sometimes you just want to act 80 and go on down to the blacked pea and Liberty Tree has the same comfort about it but with a different theme. That theme not being boring pictures on a bland wall and the average age of patrons not being 70. This is a lot of food for a park day, even the end to one but the food is good and it used to be a restaurant my family and i would visit every trip. I really loved the green beans and turkey.

Pros:

pretty good food a/c and seats easy to get reservation

Cons:

filling food theme is not my favorite but thats a me complaint

Review of Cinderella's Royal Table Breakfast

This was definitely a do once and be done kind of experience. It was very cool meeting Cinderella and the other princesses, it was incredible to be inside the castle and have the view of the park, BUT the food is not what you go for and the price is only justified by the experience. I did this this once at 18 and i have no desire to repeat this experience. I imagine kids would love the experience even more than me and they dont have such a developed pallet that they would probs love the food too. Sorry for roasting all children. Im choosing to recommend this as a one time experience for the right group of people.

Pros:

wonderful views great atmosphere a way to get inside the castle

Cons:

food is mid at best, call it Nebraska if you will

Review of Top of the World - Member Lounge

During my most recent stay at Bay Lake Tower, me and my party decided to try the top of the world villains lounge. The lounge is quiet and has a subtle villain theme to it.

So there are several different ways to experience the lounge. You can either make a reservation in advance for the Wicked Wine Down package that comes with a cocktail, appetizer, dessert, and special fireworks viewing for $55 or just order A La Carte. We chose to do the package.

For cocktails we chose the Mirror Mirror Moonshine made with Sage infused Ole Smoky Strawberry moonshine, Fresh lemon juice, hints of yellow pear and stone fruit, topped with Matcha tea foam; The Underworld made with handcrafted traditional Spanish Opici white sangria, peach puree, blue curacao and orange liqueur; The Other Side was made with Helix 7 Vodka, Rothman & Winter Creme de violet Liqueur, Blueberry, Orange blossom honey, and Fresh lemon. All the drinks were good, but not strongly alcoholic.

For appetizers, we got The Empress Charcuteries board with a selection of meats and cheeses; Twisted Tales Pretzel was a soft Bavarian pretzel served with beer cheese sauce; Who’s Afraid of Pork Belly Sliders was made with shredded pork belly topped with barbeque sauce and house made pickles. The appetizers were sadly a let down and not all that.

For dessert, we got a “Seven Lair Cake” which was a divine chocolate cake drizzled in caramel sauce. Hands down the best part of the meal. The reserved fireworks viewing area was amazing and they even pipe in the music. Overall, it’s a good experience to take part in if you're staying at Bay Lake Tower.

Pros:

Great view of the fireworks full bar with great specialty cocktails

Cons:

The appetizers are a pass Can get rained out for outdoor fireworks viewing

Review of Chef Mickey's Breakfast

I recently ate breakfast at Chef Mickey’s on my most recent trip. First and foremost, this restaurant is specifically designed for families. It is SO noisy and there are so many kids running around; plus it’s located in the middle of the Contemporary's atrium with all the hustle and bustle that entails. The restaurant does have an excellent wait staff that is constantly checking up on you and filling up your drinks. The restaurant is a self service buffet with traditional American breakfast faire.

The food itself is nothing to write home to. It’s fine, but you don’t go here for the food anyways. It’s all about the CHARACTERS! The fab 5 are here in their chefs costumes and they are so cute. They all come to your table for mini meet and greets; plus, the cast members come by and make sure they don't miss your table. They also do a little dance show every so after. We also got a card with all their signatures. Overall, the meal is fine, but there are other better character breakfast spots in WDW.

Pros:

Characters! It's great for families with little kids.

Cons:

It's expensive for breakfast The food is average.

Review of Citricos

I recently dined at Citricos on the last night of my most recent trip. This was my first time dining here and I wasn’t really sure what to expect. The check in process was easily done on the app and I was promptly seated. I usually don’t mind where I’m seated in restaurants, but the booth I sat in was far enough from the table so that I had to sit very awkwardly during the whole meal. However, that’s more of a personal preference rather than a knock on the restaurant. The restaurant had lots of Mary Poppins inspired detail; plus it had a very cozy and intimate feeling to it, but it was really dark.

The menu itself is composed of upscale versions of American and Mediterranean classics. If I wasn’t on a teacher salary, then maybe I would have tried the $120 one ounce caviar option. Anyways, for my appetizer I went with the St.Augustine Style Clam Chowder with cedar key clams, Purple potato, and Applewood bacon. This dish was so smooth and packed with so much flavor. It had a slight kick to it due to the presence of the sliced jalapenos.

For my main, I chose the Oak Grilled Filet Mignon with potato puree, seasonal vegetables, and Guajillo beef jus. The filet was cooked to my preference of medium rare, but to be honest was a bit tough to cut and chew through which was a disappointment after such an awesome appetizer. The potato puree was the highlight of this dish. I also ordered a side of their truffle macaroni and cheese. This side was okay; it had a very strong truffle/earthy taste to it that I personally was not expecting.
To end my meal, I had the Guava Cheese Fusion cake made with Guava moose, goat cheese cheesecake, Pistachio feuilletine, chantilly, guava gel, and tuile butterfly. The cake itself was light and airy with guava being the dominant flavor; it was a delightful end to the meal.
Overall, the meal was good, but really expensive for the weak entree I was served. All in all, I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone staying at the Grand, but don’t change all your plans to come to this restaurant.

Pros:

The restaurant is quiet and charming. The menu has some good options. Don't sleep on the clam chowder.

Cons:

This restaurant is more of a one and done affair. It is pricey.

Review of 'Ohana Dinner

Reviewed by ShawnLopez Review Date: 08/05/2024

I recently had dinner at Ohana on my last trip. This was my first time dining here and I had high expectations. The restaurants atmosphere is Polynesian inspired and fits right at home at this resort. Although the atmosphere is lovely, the restaurant can get rather noisy since there are many families dining here. The meal is broken up into several different courses served family style. The first course is the signature bread service and mixed green salad. The salad was just fine, but the bread and house made butter was SO good. I ate a whole loaf practically! The main course was comprised of pork dumplings, honey coriander chicken wings, Grilled Teriyaki beef, shrimp, grilled chicken, vegetables, and the famous Ohana noodles. Everything was good, but my stand out favorite was the Teriyaki beef; it had so much flavor and was so tender. Then came the desert of the bread pudding; which was just phenomenal! A great way to end a meal. Overall, the meal and service was great, but it is a lot of food and on the expensive side. I'd go back, but only for a special occasion.

Pros:

There's lots of variety. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The service is excellent.

Cons:

It is served family style and that means LOTS of food. It can be fairly noisy. It is expensive.
