This has always been one of my must do resorts. We had arrived late in the afternoon the night before so had booked a one night stay at Movies. Had our luggage transferred in the morning and then proceeded to Animal kingdom. Arrives to the Poly around 5:50 pm, almost two hours past check-in. We had been checking our app looking for a room assignment and never got one. So we proceeded to the desk where we were ignored for a good 10 minutes. When we told the lady who finally acknowledged us our name she told us she would be right back. She then disappeared into a back office where she stayed for 20 minutes. Eventually she came out and told us engineering was in our room and they have no idea when they would be done. We had a 5 year old and an 18 month old with us. After waiting another 30 minutes we again approached the check in and was again told our room was not ready but they would credit our room a $100 for the inconvenience. At this point we asked for another room or to be sent to a different hotel. The lady at check in called a manager over and told us the credit was the best they could do. We finally got in our room a little before 8pm to find that the shower was not working properly and engineering had to come back and work in it for another 30 minutes. By this time my 5 year old was asking to go bacl to All Star Movies. As beautiful as this resort is I found most employees rude, children were out of control at the pool and the rooms are not worth the price.

Pros:

Monorail resort

Cons:

Too many to count

We just back from a tryout 2 night stay at CC 1 bedroom. We are not DVC and faithful lovers of BR so wanted to try out CC. On first glance the rooms are much smaller but more modern. As our plane landed at 10 am and I turned my phone on I was being notified our room was ready and the number given. it was a great view of the WL pool and lake as requested. We where on the 4th floor and watched the fireworks from our double balcony. There is only 2 of us so the size I kinda prefered being smaller. Great and nicely setup kitchen, lots of cupboards. Bed was pretty high up for me and I'm 5'1" Nice lighting options. Great shower but not the 2 nozzle type just rainshower. Tub was very cool and if turned up was quite the whirlpool. Overall we liked the room. and Love this location, WL & BR

Pros:

1 bedroom. housekeeping very quick and efficent CC was the plus for location within the resort pools!!! room ready early very friendly castmembers views transportation boat and bus where great

Cons:

A few minus for room > inside of fridge 2 shelves falling down. TV stuck on welcome message and not set up properly. 1 light not working. able to hear your neighbors easily. Towel rack fell down.

Just back from 2 weeks at BCV. 1 bedroom villa. The redo is nicely done. We love the murphy bed option. The bathtub, W/D, kitchen. All the pluses of the 1 bedroom. Our room was not ready on arrival at 11am. It wasn't ready at 4pm. It wasn't ready till 5:30. Cause DVC takes time. After 3 visits to the desk. I found out we where not getting any pool view which is what I assummed I was waiting for {our request}. They didn't even know we had a request? They also seemed to think they where out of 1 bedrooms at this time. Also appartently you are also supposed to be given a lil priority if paying disney cash and not associated with DVC in any manner. Which we where. Finally "something" opened up when I said I am smelling an upgrade > They found a perfectly wonderful room on the 3rd floor. Great balcony and view of pool. Yes a bit far from main building but close to parking lot always a plus. The pool elevator near our room was broke and unable to use. I checked everyday on work of this elevator > They kept saying its in progress. I told them our room is right there, no I'm and other guest are the only ones near it. No work. They finally fixed it about 6 days later and in a few minutes. Think they got tired of me. However; none of these issues really bothered us. What did was housekeeping. When they came the 1 day and cleaned they where great. nice job. it was the fight to get them to come and stop calling us saying you have your sign up so no Housekeeping needed? We where gone for hours constantly and the minute you came back> oh your here we can't clean? I started recogonizing the women Castmember on the phone. She ask how are you today after 5 days I said you don't want that answer. We have been gone over 8 hrs went at rope drop > and now you haven't been here??? I said at this point just bring me towels and pick up garbage. The supervisor and 2 assistants showed up I handed her the garbage. I didn't ask for her nor wanted an ordeal She asked me what I wanted I said I just want someone to do their job. I do mine at work and expected the same. Well first they thought we where DVC I said then are you going to refund the $$ I think about $40 / day for HK? which I haven't gotten. She looked surprised. {i wasn't serious}. I just want it done when we are gone. Well she did her job and it was Prestine and done everyday after and on time. Only other issue is BC and BCV now have adopted the smell of perfume [I believe Norway's] which set off our asthma as an allergy, nice but we both got sick. All in all it was agreat room and we did have a good time. But prices are high and you should be getting a great deal for that kind of money / prices

Pros:

Location, location, location Pools 1 bedroom is lovely and well done parking lots security at gates transportation kitchen, tub, washer and dryer old tv stations > our room did not have the interactive tv and guides. I kinda prefer the old school

Cons:

HOUSEKEEPING building repairs IE: elevators The bathroom tub. Being a claw style and up on the old whirlpool base its quiet high up & You have nowhere to put any towels nearby, any soaps with the tiny shelf by the facet is it. We made a makeshift table with the garbage can. Also they took out the shelf in the bathroom [with tub] by the sink for hair products. They moved towel into the commode room but only 2 in the tub area. NO room service no renting boats anymore

The decor and aesthetic was very beautiful, however, the food was horrible. Unfortunately, the looks were unable to make up for the food. The potato leek soup was bland and came out cold, the steak hardly had seasoning and was overcooked, and the salad dressing was too salty.

Pros:

Beautiful

Cons:

Bad food, expensive

Meh. Was in Orlando for a conference so my wife and I snuck over to Disney Springs for a dinner. We were excited to try a new place. Disappointing. Check-in process was confusing. Confirmed our reservations at the outdoor hostess stand, and told to stay nearby. As nothing happened for a while, we wandered inside, and checked with the hostess stand inside, and were seated right away. Odd.

Ordered an appetizer and two entrees. Less than 5 minutes later, the entrees arrived. No appetizer. We canceled our appetizer, and the woman who brought the food said she would check in with our server to see what happened. Nothing from the server for the next half hour, when we got an apology but no explanation other than "Not sure how that happened!" I'm not sure what we expected, but it seemed insincere at best,

The entrees weren't good. My wife ordered the tacos, which immediately fell apart. I tried the chicken basket, and did not have high expectations, and the chicken fell short of even those.

Had a drink at the bar after dinner, with the idea of watching the drone show (spoiler alert: Disney set it up so you can't see the show from the bar, only from the seats outside which cost extra to book), and the bartender was very nice. And finally, we even tried a cookie from the cookie shop attached. Again - meh. It was big, but nothing special. PLenty of better choices at Disnet Springs. Choose accordingly.

Pros:

Bartender

Cons:

Food, check-in, cookie

Review of Nomad Lounge

We were lucky to get a spot on the waitlist within 10 minutes of checking. Originally they were going to seat us with another group but granted our request for a private sitting area. The service was very good. There were people in our party with a gluten allergy and he was very conscientious about it. I ordered the Jenn’s tattoo which a little too sweet for my liking. The watermelon over powered the hibiscus flavor. My daughter had the Zingiber Fizz which was really good. We split the churros and had some charcuterie. The churros were very good, crispy and light not greasy at all. The charcuterie is a pretty straightforward board. Tiffins is one of my favorite places to eat so I’m glad the Nomad lounge was just as good.

Pros:

Great service Food

Cons:

None

I’m not gonna lie. Restaurantosaurs is not the most mind blowing food. But what they lack in creativity they make up for in consistency & air conditioning! If you can’t get to Sat’uli or Flame Tree then this is a good option if you just need to eat and sit inside. We’ve opted for this one several times over the years. The food is basic but it is tasty. I had the Cobb salad and was pleasantly surprised that it had house made dressing which was good! My daughter went with the bacon cheeseburger which is pretty similar to every Disney park burger. I have always enjoyed the theme of the is restaurant with its dig site cantina vibe. I’m going to miss this entire land.

Pros:

Consistent Theming

Cons:

Not the most adventurous menu

Review of Saratoga Springs Resort (Disney Vacation Club)

I had the opportunity to stay here August 2024 with a friend on DVC points. This is a really great resort. We stayed in the Springs area which was close to everything, the lobby, pool & bus stop. We had a 2 bedroom villa which is very nice for large parties. It had 2 full bathrooms, washer/dryer & full kitchen with the pull down bed in the living room. I was very impressed with the resort. The rooms have been recently updated with nice subtle Disney touches. The pool has a pretty long water slide. The food in both the food court and the lounge was good. There weren’t a lot of options in the QS but they did offer a Greek chicken & rice bowls that had very good flavor, the only thing is ask for more veggies because they didn’t put enough on the rice bowl. The real star of Saratoga however are the cast members. Every interaction I had was fantastic. They were friendly & helpful. If they weren’t sure how to fix something they just kept working it until they found an answer. Even the guy cleaning the pool was friendly! I’ve been coming to Disney for years and had many great cast members experiences but this staff went above & beyond. It’s a little off the beaten path but well worth the stay. Also it is in the golf course and has a pro shop near the lobby

Pros:

Cast members Close to Disney Springs

Cons:

Large resort Not enough veggies in the rice bowl ( seriously it was one grape tomato & one slice of cucumber)
