Best quick service meal at WDW in my opinion. The bowls are a healthy and tasty full meal and the cheeseburger pods are good for picky eaters.

My son's first trip to Disney World occurred shortly after his 4th birthday in September of 1994. The Wilderness Lodge had just opened on May 31st of that year and it was INCREDIBLE!!! So much so we only stayed at the Lodge after that. My son, who is now 33, honeymooned there. I've been to Disney World 27 times and I've stayed at the Wilderness Lodge 17 times. I've reserved a trip there for this Christmas and I only hope my health holds out so I can make it my 18th time! I've eaten at the Whispering Canyon, Geyser Point, the Roaring Fork, and last year I was lucky enough to snag the coveted Story Book Dining at Artist Point. I love the Lodge because it is so close to the Magic Kingdom, but because it's secluded it is so peaceful. In fact, the only thing that jolts you back to reality is the sound of the boat horn that lets you know it's docking or departing for the Magic Kingdom. Bus service is also available and I've never waited more than a few minutes. I get around with the use of an electric scooter and I've never had an issue with the buses. The drivers are so sweet in helping you get on or off the bus first. As you can probably tell, I'm the Wilderness Lodge's biggest fan. Book the Lodge and I know you'll become a fan, too!
Pros:
The architecture, the scenery, the food, the friendliness of the cast members, the close proximity to everything, the peacefulness of the property, the beautiful pools, the Mercantile for gifts and souvenirs, activities for the kids, and the way you feel when staying here!Cons:

Seeing reviews that criticize service and don't get it. Compare this to a local hot dog cart and you'll agree, it's more tham you'llget back home. And the options are creative and delicious!
Pros:
The Mardi Gras Smoked Crawdog was SSSOOOOO GOOD! I really enjoyed the full flavour and deliciousness. And, as should be with any good hand-held meal...it was all the way to my elbows by the time I was done. A fully immersive experience!Cons:
No cons. If you go in with an open mind and happy with a hot dog, you have your expectations exceeded.Review of Roundup Rodeo BBQ Lunch/Dinner

This restaurant lived up to my high expectations! We were SO excited to try this place since are all big Toy Story fans and it is not disappoint! The food was all you care to eat and delicious! We had the tots, the mac and cheese, the potato salad and the campfire veggies as our sides and they were phenomenal! I had heard it takes a long time to get the food, but folks need to remember that this is a sit down service restaurant, not a quick service. If you go in knowing this meal will be around an hour, you will LOVE IT!
