This was the first time I have eaten here. I had the rib dinner and shared this with my DH. We also had an order of onion rings. It was plenty to share and very tasty. The only complaint I had is that the place was so full we couldn't sit near the water. Maybe next time.

DH and I ate here on a recent trip. He had the smoked turkey sandwich, I had the pulled pork.
The cast member helping us actually gave us the recommendation to split an order of onion rings as they were quite large instead of the two orders I had placed which saved us some money.
Pork sandwich was good, a little dry but they have BBQ sauce available which made it quite good. DH's sandwich was excellent. Would definitely go back again.

Our family loves Flame Tree-this is our favorite place in all of WDW for a Q/S meal. Our chicken and rib meals were moist and tasty once again-and now my wife and daughter enjoy baked beans too!Sat so we could view Expedition Everest(in the shade too.)for a great view while we were eating-very nice.No egrets this trip either(last trip one stole a man's burger when he got up to take a picture.)!Would definitely recommend this place if you are at Animal Kingdom.

Ate here for lunch on 05/29/13 we all had the ribs and chicken. A lot of fat on the ribs but overall pretty good food. I wouldn't probably wouldn't eat here again but was glad I had tried it.

OF all the eatery choices in the Animal Kingdom this by far is my favorite! The food quality is fantastic and the seating feels quaint even though there are many pavillions to choose from. This last rip we did experience an abundant number of flies, however that occurred at multiple places on property not just the FlameTree.

We decided to grab dinner at the end of the day. The seating area had maybe 4-5 tables filled. The rest was free. It was a bit difficult finding the condiments and knifes and forks. I did have a duck poking my leg for food, but I didn't mind. No, I didn't feed him, just in case you were wondering.
The ribs and chicken were very good. The chicken had a lot of meat on it as did the ribs. It was weird that I had 4 ribs on my plate and my wife had only 2 or 3. Does it go by weight? Slaw and beans were good as well. It would have been a whole lot better if there were some handi-wipes available for the barbeque sauce.
Good for the value!

Food was very good!Cons:

Had the Chicken Salad for lunch on 05.14, which I have at least once each trip. They've changed the recipe as it now has more BBQ flavoring and garbanzo beans. It was still good and a filling meal.
Pros:
Food quality, seating areas by the waterCons:

We (DH and I) ate lunch at Flame Tree BBQ on April 22nd - AK's 15th anniversary! We were headed to Epcot, and so we chose to split a chicken/ribs plate so that we could snack in the World Showcase that afternoon. The BBQ was amazing - tender meat and flavorful sauces. Coleslaw and beans were pretty run-of-the-mill. The only negative was that the best seating locations (overlooking the water/Everest) were already taken, or full of people saving seats for others.
Pros:
Tasty Food, Quick LineCons:

We ate here twice on our recent visit, April 3-April 11, 2013. Food is great, lines move quickly, staff are friendly! We recommend everything, but particularly the ribs and the pulled pork sandwich. We always eat at the pavillion around back, with a beautiful water view and a view of Expedition Everest.
Will eat here again and again!!
